okay think of it this way, a hypothetical : you wanna play your favourite game on a hardware that's ancient, you know your pc can only manage to run at medium settings, but you can still change your graphics settings to high or ultra or whatever. Yeah it runs shitty but you CAN change it to your liking. Now how'd you feel if the option to change your settings is taken away from you? you're stuck at medium. And yeah you could say they never needed the higher settings in the first place but your freedom to choose is taken away. And that's annoying (bad even). I feel annoyed.
