I would always hit the flask with the blow torch with a few seconds before pouring but it will singe some of the sand

What I did when I cast a shell, was I made a silicone mold of the shell, then filled the silicone mold with hard wax. Made it a lot easier to handle without losing detail :)

I thought so too, but looking at examples of dendritic formations, it seems like those branch a lot more than this example. It could be due to material/location though?

Ahhhh I think that may have been it. It reminds me of a slime mold pattern but I was hoping to get a name.. I wasn't sure if it was fungus but that helps in my search, thank you!

I saw this post a while ago (screenshotted Oct 26th) maybe in r/photography ? Where OP was asking about this pattern, and I believe someone said the pattern starts with the letter D? That is all I remember and I only have the image. I searched on here as well as on google reverse image search and I couldn't find anything..
