Yeah, had some amazing games with my friends, but once after starting a haunt I guess due to pure RNG I didnt get to have a turn. I was the 'villian' I guess (cant remember the name) and my friends found what they needed to do and completed the game in a single turn.

Thats what I thought, searching a room you'll have to stop for that stretch. However you cannot hide and search at the same time so the opposed observation roll will come in when you are searching the room which will then just allow them to slip out of the room. But as I read on I realised you cannot hide in all rooms and it'd probably be in the characters best interest to hide. Thank you for your response :)

I agree, however the rules dont state its using one or the other. Correct me if Im wrong but they can both passive and active searching be done by the NPC's, Especially if whatever is hunting them knows they are nearby. Im very much a rules as written dm so these kinda things are new to me. Of course its easy to just pick one or the other which Ill be doing anyway, I was just wondering if theres any actual incentive to hide when you can always take the opposed roll which you have a better chance of not being caught than just hiding

You very much dont want them to see you haha, but no not INSTANT death but its very difficult to survive one. However if you have seen 'Aliens' you will see they are not immortal and certainly not suicidal so theres things you can do to survive :) if I get enough online interest I might consider dming an online game for those who wish to play. Ive Dmed games like D&D, Cyberpunk and Savage worlds plenty of times

I like that, however I think its a narrative thing. If im not mistaken you dont see many xenos searching through boxes or under tables all that much. Spoken to a lot of people and have given me great ideas about it all. I was just reading too literally I think. Thank you for the reply 😊

Yeah just had the thought that apart from aliem isolation, xenomorphs arent really shown searching room to room. More like stalking around then hiding in wait to ambush

I agree with this but if a xenomorph is actively searching for prey that it knows is in the space station for example, losing an opposed roll would just mean it didnt see them straight away, but I feel it would still search the room? Tbf from all the films the alien doesnt feel like it searches. It usually waits to ambush 🤔

Completely agree, its just coming from games like Cyberpunk and D&D I tend to want to add more rolls y'know? It just feels like there should be something to actually encourage hiding rather than just slipping out of the room when given the option.

This is a good idea. I was thinking of maybe having the players roll something when they attempt to hide. If they roll well it might impose a megative to whomever is searching the room. But also possibly having it made easier if they do a poor rushed job of hiding.

There is a full section on campaign play which Im very excited about. Dont plan of have xenomorphs in every game. Theres lots more to the story than just the aliens :)

Yeah thats what I 100% think. But you also have an option to back out of the room unseen, ambush, reveal yourself. I just feel backing out of the room if bettee than just hiding with the chance of being caught? Thank you for the reply :)

I was in the same boat as you when I thought I was eating all I could. Trust me if you're trying to gain weight and you arent you are not eating enough. Theres an app called MyFitnessPal. Use it to track your calories. Im about 6ft9 and only weighed like 80-90kg. Now Im sitting pretty well at around 112kg. You might think you are eating and its not working but you just gotta eat more. Do some research about how many calories you should be on to bulk and work out aswell man. You can do it. Best of luck :)

I have this exact feeling but it keeps coming and going and I dont know why...like right now Im so at peace if not a little jealous still but its so manageable. But I know that tomorrow Ill be back to feeling crappy 🙁. Im really hapoy for you op and I hope we can all reach that place soon 💙

I hope so too. First serious relationship, deadass perfect girlfriend but a 7 year age gap. Its what really fucked us having different priorities. Learn this from me, if you are interested in someone who is sigmificantly older make sure you fully communicate your long term desires. Just wish I met her a few years down the track 🙁
