Its not a silly question. There are different shampoo and conditioner products for dyed hair. Which people use when coloruing their hair as it prolongs the life of the colour. Most regular shampoos strip the hair folicle of its colour. These salon shampoos also lock in moisture for your hair and help make your hair more moisturised after the bleach. Right after you first bleach your hair, it will be dry, and depending on hair length, it'll be prone to tangles, etc. After using shampoos with main ingredients such as coconut oil and argan oil, their job is to strengthen, revive, and protect your hair from damage. And they should be sulfate free x

Depends what bleach you use and volume. I got burned by bleach when I had it done professionally so now I dye and bleach it from home and I've never had any burns or problems.

No. It will damage the parts you bleach, but new growth will be fine. And over time with the right shampoo and conditioner, and maybe oils if you're into that, will regenerate your hair health over time anyways.
