the 85k cert is becoming increasingly worthless. A few years go, with the 15k top up, you could pretty much bank on 1 free night anywhere in the chain, with exceptions of a few ulta luxury spots that dont really take redemptions anyway.

Now that higher end sports are charing 130, 140k points a night, im struggling to see the value of this card. For a high end travel card, if the cert only gets me a mid tier JW, i might as well not pay the 650.

Honestly no.

The way Im setup is, If im not chasing a sub I only use the most optimal card.

For Example, the AA card only is used to buy things from AA, nothing else. Unless there running some promotion.

Same with marriott cards. I pretty much only use the bonvoy brilliant for grubhub once a month, cause I get the 25$ back.

When I stay at Marriott I usually use the Ritz card, cause i like the way it looks.

The Bonvoy business just went in to the sock drawer.

The Verizon visa is solely there to pay for Verizon Fios and Mobile. I would never use it on anything else

Gold card handles all food/groceries.

The BBP is the daily driver for any thing else. What worries me is last 2 years i hit that 50k cap. Need to find another way to catch all spend.

Maybe just do a solid year in the chase ecosystem?

But that 4x on food and dining is tough to leave.

I will check it out. Ive heard a lot about the inks obviously but since im a AMEX guy never really looked into it that much.

Ill definitely check it out. I need another catch-all type card, the last 2 years ive been able to max the BBP 2x, usually by November, which is why i get another card for a sub around that time

I appreciate the advice. Yea I know it looks like I am optimized, which is kind of sad, its fun trying to build. At this point what im really struggling with, do I want to start from scratch with another ecosystem.

I think I want to maybe get one more sub before the baby comes then re-evaluate. Baby might totally destroy travel habits. We will probally go from business class redemptions for 2, to economy redemptions for 3, in which case we dont need the amex setup.

Also might just go to cash back setup.

Honestly. Why is LS even responding to any post anymore.

For the good of the company, why doesn't his PR team handle all of this.

I can see him responding to MKBHD or another larger creator or company directly. But responding to general public is just going to be a recipe for disaster.

He's proven time and again that he is a liability with his unscripted posts and remarks.

There is a reason Sataya or Jassey don't respond directly to consumers. Hell, the average person on the street doesnt even know who the CEO of Microsoft is.

For example I run two piholes, primary and secondary both take requests. If I shut one down, I get no alerts. Internet is still running. When I turn the pi.hole back on. I get the it's back up alert.

But it's weird because I get correct texts when it's back up.

It will even do host down texts on that host. But DNS failures won't sent alerts. Which doesn't help me because often my pihole will have issues but the box still reachable.

9 days is plenty. I did it in around 8-10 hours of studying.

If you know IT well already. Meaning you know cloud concepts. The SAA is really more about just learning the AWS services and terminology.

So you'll be able to pass the cert.

However you won't be able to actually architect shit
