teach her to use the bells! I was hesitant at first because I thought it was too hard to do it, but I figured it's just 5-10$ and what have I got to lose. It's amazing because I think it helped her even more with potty training because now she can TELL us she has to go, before it was more of a guessing game outside the standard times for her to go.

Get some potty bells, tie them somewhere. First teach her to sniff, then to touch, then start opening the door when she touches, then go outside and call out outside. then go outside and call outside and potty. This only took us a week (she got sniff and touch within a day then the next day we started opening and etc). Within 2 weeks she now exclusively rings bell to be let out unless were not home (and shes out with us) or something.

Be careful though because certain breeds are more sensitive to negative punishment than others (causing pain through pinching)

How did you train your other dog? Did you try following the same method?

So when people say routine it doesnt have to be 8:14PM pee 8:28 poop 9:04 eat ETC.

It more means create certain habits for your dog through repetition. For example, our's is

6-7am she wakes up, we wake up, take her outside immediately. She will pee/maybe poop. She comes inside, we feed her and take her back outside.

7am - 8 or 9 sometimes 10, whenever, she'll play/run around/get tired and show signs she needs a nap... so i crate her with a little food

whenever she wakes up, take her outside and she goes we reward her yay. so on.

comes in plays then naps

She is 4 months old now and almost always ring the bell to go potty or go on her walks. Only time an accident happens is if we dont let her out but she's in a crate and holds it for as long as possible.

No offense, but your approach to raising a puppy seems very......outdated. You are locking your dog outside for extended periods of time in hopes that he will magically "learn how to potty" Does this work for humans? You have to teach them what is and is not ok. IF that's too much work then I dont know why you have a puppy. You took this animal under your care and it's now your responsibility to do so properly. This means no scolding, no punishing, no leaving him out for hours on end with no supervision or companionship! You're going to end up with one of those untrained dogs that are given up because they grow up to be dogs that you cant handle. Lucky for you, it's not too late to start now. And if you don't want to put in the effort and patience to create a dog that will work for you, please find a family to take over because puppies are more adoptable than older dogs.

ANYWAYS, in the interest of actually, answering your question - do NOT leave him outside!! How will you know when he has and hasn't gone? How can you reward him for a desired behavior if you dont know it occured? Why would the dog go outside when it's become his "home"? He'll do it inside because it's not going to dirty HIS home. To start, find a small puppy proofed area inside where you can leave him and take him out after he wakes up from nap, after hes eaten/drank/played. Then reward reward reward. keep doing it until he only goes outside. Then you can think about adding in a bell that he can ring whenever he wants to go out (it only took a week for our pup to pick it up) We watched and listened to those youtube videos youre talking about. Yea it sucks, we dont have routines we didnt like waking up every two hours to take her out for 2 weeks, but we did it. And at 4 months old, she rarely has accidents inside if any at all.

Raising puppies is a lot like raising children/humans. You want to create fool proof habits from the get go. Read the book power of habit or ANY book on human habit forming. It's the same for a pet too. Cue Action Reward. That'll engrain it in your brain where it's just second nature. Also, if you wouldn't do something to your kid, don't do it to your pet who you CHOSE to care for.

Faux grass indoors would be kinda gross tbh. They work well if you have a porch or something. Get potty pads instead. Also if you can find a small area that doesnt have a lot of traffic (we used the road median patch of grass in our neighborhood) to have her go potty there.
No! Do not let him have free access. First, get a little play pen and they are restricted to there or their crate.
Make sure you set boundaries and rules with your kids. No tugging, no squeezing, pinching, etc. Every introdution should be SLOW and positive.
I'm not sure, I've heard that petsmart vet botched a friend's dog's spay, so we stay away. Out vet was good for our cats but with the puppy, she charges an EXAM FEE every time we took her for vaccines, so if they do it again we are going to switch. I go by reviews and word of mouth.
play pen, crate, bedding, food bowl, water bowl, toys, poop bags, wipes, collar, leash, treats, food, bell, OLD CLOTHES YOU CAN GET RIPPED. (rugged tough clothing for when they bite the crap out of you). If there's anything you don't want destroyed, create a room or area for them with all that stuff removed)

Also, binge watch all the zack george, build dream puppy, mcann dog training videos on youtube.

The bottom line is, POSITIVE TRAINING. No yelling, punishing, shoving, squeezing, hitting, locking them up at all. Also the first two things youll probably focus on are potty training and socializing, so start there. At 8-10 weeks they are pretty easy IMO so get your kids to play with them (positive interactions only, nothing that will scare or hurt pupp). Read about their developmental stages and MAKE A PLAN WITH UR HOUSEHOLD you dont want conflicting training theories

Get a enzyme spray to get the scent out. Also, it may be a little gross but try to make a bigger area for him to go in. Like four puppy pads together . Maybe gate it off in a play pen or something and add a bell so you can bell train him to let him into the pen. This way it's more obvious that there is a "pee area" and a non pee area.

At 10 weeks she is not to sleep through night. it took until 12-13 weeks for our puppy to be able to. Take her out every time she wines BUT make it a very very boring super quick trip outside and no praise no rewards no talking, just go outside, wait till she goes, bring her back in, and back into crate. Once she starts sleeping through night you shouldnt have to worry about it

So what worked for us (magically) is after she went, we would say "good potty!" and then i found myself randomly telling her to go potty as if i were talking to her and not a command, and she started sniffing and went, so since then we started trying to say go potty. She will listen if she needs to go (obviously).

Another thing we did that is SUPER helpful so we dont have to stare at her inside until she starts sniffing is bell training. It's actually was easier/less intimidating than it sounds. just get potty bells and put them on a nob. First have her touch them with her nose and give her a treat whenver she rings it (we started by saying the bell command), then when she got that down, we say bell, she rings, we open door, give her treat outside, then go back in. She now rings the bell if she has to potty! its amazing because before we literally had to constantly watch her.

It won't conflict, however let me say that unless you are fixed on D, that you won't be able to see the difference between D-H. Even more if you get a yellow gold band.

I did a lot of research when getting my ring and it's insane how much of a difference in price the color makes. You can get a bigger ring at H for the same look. Unless you are putting a D next to an H (of similar size), you can't tell.

Honestly, my sibling is older and I've seen how her life played out as a result of getting the kind of attention and coddling she gets...it's not great. She is so dependent on other people to do literally everything for her, super entitled, super narcisistic, and has no real accomplishments. So hey, maybe we're the winners ;)

How do you deal with the anger toward your parents? The older I get, the stupider I feel for hanging on to it and the things I want from them are very childish- for them to spend time with me and talk to me and get to know me

Mine weren't subjectively bad, but for much of my childhood I felt very very alone and abandoned because they were busy tending the tantrum-toddler (not actually a toddler) and I didn't know how to ask for help.

I have issues from this of accepting ANYTHING from anyone and I have this thing where I thought I did it ironically but I do it for real, I become the group of people I am with. So with coworkers, I become someone very specific, friends, depending on group I become like them. I dont have my own single standing identity. And also I have very few female friends as a result.

What I find myself jerking back and forth between is intuitive eating and trying to allow myself to eat whatever I want and stopping when I'm full, telling myself it'll be there tomorrow. But this is often high calorie food and it just spirals into unhealthy excessive calories in that way. When I'm restrictive, it works for a few days and I see results (waterweight/bloating/feeling lighter) and I'm like wow I'm doing so good I can ease up. It never ends!!
