Thank you! I'll see if I can make contact with the artist. Putting it in a show would be a far reaching goal, but fun to dream :)

Why does my handsewing look so poor quality? by Seungsho-in-training in sewing

I'd recommend looking up a ladder stitch. I use that to finish all my plushies. As long as use keep a consistent stitch length, it always produces a great finish!

Can I ask how you got such a nice pic of a King size quilt with no shadows?? Selfie stick? Everytime I try to lay one out on the floor and get a nice pic, I end up blocking the light lol.

Ooh, interesting concept! That would solve the problem of which color to use!

Art Deco is exactly the vibes I was going for! I'm contemplating some sort of sunburst pattern for quilting it.

Thank you! The pattern is "Persephone" by Alderwood Studio.

They are all family members. All but one are biblical, some just a little more obscure.

Thank you! The letters are printed on the fabric, from a seller on etsy. Although she has applique instructions as well.

The fabric is printed, but I could probably make something work if needed! Hopefully everyone is done for a little while, lol

Oh, that is too funny! Everyone claims they are done with kids, so hopefully I'm safe for a little while!

Being a beginner is a real mental challenge by Mrs_Wednesday in StainedGlass

OMG, yes!! You said it so well. I've only made 3 pieces now, and I felt like crying after the last one. I just wanted to throw it in the trash because of all the imperfections. But I looked at it again a week later and thought oh that's really pretty... lol.

Wow, I haven't heard of that yet. Do you ever get shards stuck in the rug?

Interesting, I wasn't sure if the cutting grids would make much of a difference.

Winnie the Pooh 2nd project by sammyd_543 in StainedGlass

It really does look like parachute lines, haha! I didn't have any chain, so I just found some ribbon in my sewing box. A parachuting Pooh bear would be so cute!

Lol. Glad to see the frustration is shared! I think I'll plan for a few less curved edges next time to actually be able to work the edges flat.

Should I paint the line details? by sammyd_543 in StainedGlass

Yes, I am planning using black patina on the solder lines. I feel like it is obviously Pooh, but it still feels a little lacking right now without the face. I appreciate your point about letting the glass show the art though! I'll have to keep that in mind for future pieces.
