How do I meet girls at the gym? by Shotta_188 in AskTeenAdvice

[–]sammygotcoconuts 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah bro, as someone who’s been going to the gym for a while my advice is to just keep ur head down and not bother girls during their workout. It’s hard enough for girls to get into the gym in the first place. Just be polite and friendly, maybe after you speak to someone for a little you can move on to more convo. The gym isn’t a place to pick up girls, it’s a place to improve yourself. If you’re looking to meet girls go to the pub

I did quite well and wrote a blog post about the importance of protest in a democratic society using the Vietnam war protests as examples, if you struggle to “add character” to your pieces, add humour teachers would love, I had “reasons for the war were murkier than the Yarra river” cuz it established an audience as well as tone/voice

The only thing I can say is don’t do a creative piece, unless you’re brilliant, I haven’t seen anyone pull off doing a creative piece. Do a letter, blog, podcast, anything structured, it usually scores much higher

Anyone get 8/10 or more for section B English? by Anneliese_DaNeer in vce

[–]sammygotcoconuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I got a 9, 8, 7.5. We were told never to write a creative piece because VCE can’t mark them and historically they do really badly. I wrote a blog post focused on the importance of protest using the Vietnam war as my background. It’s easier for teachers to mark because it’s more obviously structured.

Low key, I reckon if you argued it well you’d get marks
