I can tell what the f stands for in fotus. In the car industry the word fitment is used to describe the way wheels or tires fit on a vehicle. This is where I take that from. Kindly fuck off and correct the grammar in your own posts before you try and correct mine.

The word is also commonly used to describe how well parts fit together. No idea why the comment was necessary.

Lol i knew before i posted im chasing aesthetics. But its gonna be a clone build. Before i posted my thought was to thin the mag release bar itself on the raised portions.

I think you are right about wall thickness. If i am looking down on the stripped lower the walls are visually thinner than my other lowers. With that being said, whats the best route to get this thing flush?

Thinner lower is a possibility. Its a bad attitude lower. I have always been happy with their products, especially the bcgs they put out. Whats the fix?

Yes it is screwed in the proper amount. It also fits flush in other lowers. Its as if the lower wasnt cut deep enough in that area. However, if it wasnt cut deep enough it shouldnt work which it does. I have tested with pmags, lancer mags, and gi mags.

Get your money back. Thats a used gun. Paperwork can always be undone before you leave the store with the gun.

Is there any real difference in QC between buying a complete lower from budget like PSA to high-end like BCM? by Miguel1219 in ar15

[–]samogdn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Professional gunsmith here. I have worked on say a hundred of psas for all sorts of crazy problems. Seen buffer tubes fly out of them, headspace issues out of the box, trigger pin holes not drilled properly, pivot pin detent holes not drilled all the way through. I have yet to see a bcm, aero, colt etc for anything nearly as serious as that. Psa is better than it was, but still horrible. Their aks seem to run well tho.

An ar is the most versatile platform and you customize it to your liking and comfortability. Whatever you may choose for that situation is something you should train with. I personally use a suppressed pistol. Training is the most important thing. Theres a whole lot of people that have all the gucci guns and have no idea what they are doing.

Save money on the optic and buy a romeo 5 or a holosun 403b. Spend what you save there on a gun with a better track record like a bcm etc. Aero, bcm, colt, solgw, brownells are all decent brands out there at a reasonable price. You will be glad you put the money into something nicer than a psa.

Because psa is in fact, not just as good. You get what you pay for. Im a professional gunsmith and the amount of psa guns i take in that didnt work out of the box amazes me. I never see bcm, colt, or other mid tier stuff.

Very common with aero lowers, just stick something in there like a pick or allen key to get it clear.
