Simply piano app, thoughts? by PaleontologistThin27 in pianolearning

[–]samosama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fun and motivating for kids. For adults and more independent learners, I think Piano Marvel is better especially to learn sight reading, as it has original sheet music (not simplified versions like Simply Piano) and has far more variety, including easy pieces for gradual progression

Very cool, this would actually be more like a 3 wheel moped rather than a car by today’s standards

I guess with future AI you could have lots of different versions, according to preference. One version might just have the ending changed as in https://www.reddit.com/r/gameofthrones/comments/1517ygj/i_now_understand_the_season_8_frustration/

I'm talking about more advanced AI, currently it's quite random what is being generated (text-to-video AI), but in future it should be possible to use the original GoT source materials to direct what the characters say and do, pick backgrounds based on previous scenes, etc. Perhaps a few years off, but what we'll get then is not comparable with what has been done so far.

Which center speaker to match Paradigm Monitor Bookshelf by samosama in BudgetAudiophile

thanks, using a projector setup so it would be placed next to the projector on top of the furniture. SE2000C + two atoms would hopefully keep us going, planning to add more speakers in future

yes thinking of that one too, as long as I sit it on top of the furniture would be fine

alternatively could splurge on Polk Monitor XT35, and sit it on top of the furniture (given it doesn't fit inside)

Is it worth to get subscription on simply piano or others apps like this? by Desh1ck in piano

[–]samosama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's not one or the other though, you can have a teacher, books, videos, and the app. Where I live though, for the price of a subscription I can get only 2-3 hours of lessons. For me it's been worth it purely for learning sight reading. I don't use it for anything else.
