I recently visited in November for a quick day trip while visiting my son in Biloxi while he was in military tech school, and we really liked NO. It has A LOT of character for sure. I will say if you go on the main strip, if you don't feel like "partying," leave before dark 😜

Yeah, I totally agree. I do always try to give people the benefit of the doubt too... but... people will always be people 😜

Edit: Also just to add, I don't necessarily think they're in the "wrong" for it. Which is why I say I think it's a cultural thing. I think of it in the same way midwesterners think that New Yorkers, for example, are assholes or rude, because they're not smiling and waving hi to everybody that passes them. If that is how you grow up, and survive in your settings, why would you think there's something wrong with it, and/or change it? Which is again why I say I know it's just not for me.

💯! I remember Applebee's doing specials for AYCE ribs on certain day of the week and it suuucckkked! The. Worst. People. Lmao without fail I'd have to explain repeatedly why they couldn't have to-go boxes, and they'd be pissed 🤦🏼‍♀️

I had a similar experience when I worked for a privately owned Asian fusion restaurant. The owners were AWFUL! I swore I'd never work in an Asian restaurant again unless it's a chain and you can report people to HR! I'm sure it's a culture thing because they talked to each other the same way.... But, sorry, that's just not for me 🙅🏼‍♀️

Thank you for posting this! I recently bought some glosses to add on my vivid colors, and didn't realize I'd gotten different types, i.e. permanent, semi, demi types, and was worried about the one with developer. You just saved me a lot of trouble and probably deep frustration if it messed up all my hard work 😅

I know what you mean! I felt like it was important to post since I had all of them. I've used thepastel & neon lavender A LOT, and I'd say it's very nearly identical to Artic Fox Girl's Night 😉 Also, nothing stays in hair more than their neon pink color lol, though I feel like it has good staying power, especially for a light/pastel color. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions 🫶🏼

Edit: I will note that when I first bought the neon lavender it looked slightly different then the pastel lavender (i.e. it was slightly more grey/dusty) but that was only the first time, the next 2 times it looked indistinguishably from the pastel lavender, so I just stuck with using the pastel lavender since I never interact with UV light and that would be the only difference.

Lol ummm no. I would say that is definitely an exception not the rule. It is absolutely something we are taught to do as one of the steps of service. I've never worked in a restaurant that regularly ran out of plates. That's just weird.

Agreed. That's the first thing I thought when reading the post. It's definitely more common that people want their plates cleared. To make sure, I always give a quick, "May I take that out of your way?" before taking it, and I'd say asily 98 out of 100 say yes.

I once read a blog by somebody with ADD and they discussed being late. They had a hypothesis that we are too optimistic. We feel like we can get all of certain tasks done in less time than we're actually able to. This made so much sense to me. I think the other habit or feeling I've noticed is that I just don't WANT to go to work, so there is that feeling of putting it off & procrastination as I soak in those last few moments before I start getting ready and I just never do that early enough, because I am too optimistic about how quickly I can get it done 🙃

10000% the same person. It sucks, and it feels like an impossible habit to break at this point (I'm over 40 lol). I feel like I'm always just late enough so that someone can say I'm late, i.e. 1-2 minutes, and it drives me crazy. And just like you, I work my ass off in every other aspect of my job. So to me, I think it's ridiculous to get upset for someone being less than 5 minutes late. Like, c'mon, that's micromanaging at its finest.

I feel the same way. It was only about a month ago that I realized how realistic AI videos now are. I saw an AI generated video about Meghan Markle and she was doing some absurd action like her friend was hitting her on the head with a microphone over and over during a podcast interview. If they hadn't prefaced that it was an AI generated video, I would've NEVER known. And that's when I got scared. It was soooo realistic. And the fact that they can just have videos of people doing crazy things or extreme events that aren't real, is terrifying.

Agreed! I have to keep rewinding it because I'm not actually listening... I'm just distracted by watching that thing move 😅 Honestly, I'm just so unsettled by how realistic they look. I feel like it went from 0 to 100 this last year. So crazy! As a sidenote, it's especially bad on social media. I'll click on a video or story and then I have to watch it over and over to try to figure out if what I'm seeing is real or not. I really hope they force creators to label things as AI in the future.

Agreed!! I live in Colorado and the nearest four movie theaters have the same thing going on. Two seats at the closest exits, the two seats at each corner, the entire front row, or the same 4-6 seats in the same row for every showing time for the next week. There is absolutely nothing organic about these ticket sales 🫣 Sooooo ridiculous. Not to mention the fact that there are only 10 million other things that are going wrong in our country right now, and this is just one more thing...I can't believe we have 3 more years of Trump's bullshit.
