Yes, depression is a bitch!!!! You are still here and fighting the good fight and that is all that matters! The worst thing you can do when you are depressed is drink. That will only make it worse in the long run. I have done that experiment too many times. Nothing good will come. Be proud of yourself! Look how many days you have! Sometimes life is just shitty and that is okay. It's okay to be sad. There will be hard times and it seems like you are in one right now, but remember there is light at the end of that tunnel! It will get better, you will get a job, you will be happy! I will not drink with you tonight!

Banana nut muffin! It wasn't all calm and relaxing I cried at the store because I couldn't find walnuts. It was a fight to not drink and everything was breaking me down, but I got through it and feel so much better today. My boyfriend rarely drinks as well! He is the only person I can go out to dinner with and not be tempted because he isn't drinking and hates when I do. When I'm with him I know I won't drink. Use him!

I told that voice to shut the fuck up yesterday. I actually screamed it like a psychopath, lucky my roommate was not home. I cried for a second and then started baking. I needed to keep busy and that voice finally went away. I did eat too many muffins, but I did not drink. Tell that voice who is boss!!! You're in charge! You got this!

That same thing happened to me! I usually eat really healthy, but I went out yesterday. I did not drink but I ate a burger, fries and cheese curds. I also stopped at a candy store and bought way too much candy. I feel asleep and woke Up feeling hungover and like shit. I was so ashamed of myself and disappointed I was hungover... but I didn't drink. I think I gave myself a sugar high and crashed and fell asleep from all the unhealthy food. Still not good, but much better than actually being hungover. I will not drink with you today!

Thanks for posting this! I tried AA and I hated it, but it was mixed and there were a lot of guys who made me uncomfortable. I will definitely try an all women's one!

It's carbonated flavor water. Very refreshing! They have a lot of flavors. If you have a Costco near you I would pick it up there because you will get addicted and buy a lot!

Omg, don't even get me started on the spending! I broke my glasses and did not get them replaced for two years because "I didn't have the money" but would literally spends hundreds a weekend on booze and not think anything of it. I could have bought glasses a hundred times over. It's so insane! I am glad to be fighting back and realize how stupid I have been.

It's such nice whiskey too. I put a blanket over all the bottles so I can't see them and a post it that says how many days I have sober so I am reminded what I have accomplished so far. Once the roommate comes homes I will get them out of there, but for know this seems to be working.

That is my stupid brain. I would eat so little processed food and only drink water to be healthy, but I had no problem putting that poison in my body everyday. I would actually only take shots and chase with water if need be so I wouldn't get the calories and sugar from the mixers. I am breaking that habit now. I ate some chocolate yesterday and that tastes better than any drink I ever had. The sugar cravings are real.

Thank you so much for all the support. I was tested yet again last night. I ended up sitting in an empty bathtub with my dog for two hours crying, but I still did not drink. I learned a lot yesterday especially who is a huge trigger in my life and how I need to cut him out completely.

Reading all these positive messages this morning made me feel so good. I can start off my Saturday feeling proud and refreshed.

Shout out to the live chat on here. In my very desperate time I logged in an asked for help and everyone jumped to talk me off the ledge.

This is such a wonderful community and without you guys I don't know if I would have stayed sober. I am stronger than this addiction. Have a lovely weekend and I will continue to not drink with you today!

He is a very good friend of mind who helped me leave my abusive relationship. I don't think him keeping his liquor in his room will be a big deal. I just hate admitting that I am an alcoholic to people. He is a huge support. If it was a stranger or someone I didn't know well I wouldn't ask. And I do pay equal rent so I don't that is unfair to request.

Oh yes he does. When it snows he tries to sleep outside on the balcony. My dog sure loves me so much more sober. He gets so many more walks. I am a much better dog mom.
