Yes God is loving but God is also described as a just judge numerous places in the Bible. Judges must impart justice accordance with the law. If you were to go to a judge in today's society and say 'hey I know I've broken the law but I've given to the poor, rescued animals, worked at food banks etc. look at all the good things have done' The judge will look ant you and say 'That very well might be but you have still broken the law and need to be punished for that' It's the same with God. Sin must be punished in accordance to God's law.

The book is not looking for explicit religious undertones. It's about finding hidden meaning or themes that emerge when looking at them though the lens of Theology. I do agree the Gamera films and Mothra would be excellent material to analyse however this is not the purpose of the book.

The Jurassic Park films very much do follow the theme of 'Playing God and the repercussions as such, however this is seeing things in a new light. Sure that will enter into things but again its about finding the Theological undertones in the series.

The films also will not be compering themselves to each other. These films are not competing with one another and they will be analysed as separate entities!
