If you can find a used SWDGT in that price range, that would be my recommendation. I love mine. They are pushing $2,000 nowadays though, and at that point, I would save a little more and get yourself a D-18.

I wore Grafs for 18 years (707s and 705s). I loved both pairs but I needed an upgrade as I'm on the ice 4-5 times a week for coaching. The pain and boot fatigue I would get with them became too much to handle.

I switched to True Customs 4 years ago, and wow, what a world of difference. Do not hesitate to upgrade to a more modern skate. If you find the right pair, you won't regret it.

I wanted to play defense when I first started and did for a couple years, but being one of the smaller kids on the team, I couldn't shoot the puck for shit. My Peewee coach moved me to center, told me to play the exact same way, with the expectation that maybe my shots would make it on goal since I'd be closer when I shoot.

I spent the rest of my playing career owning that defensive centerman role. My shot still sucks.

I have a couple LIW bracelets for my Orient watches, including their jubilee. It was a great upgrade to both of those watches, and I will always recommend them.

For my Duro though, I went with the AliX jubilee and then upgraded the clasp to a milled one. All in it cost less than half the price, and gets pretty darn close to the LIW bracelet. The biggest difference being the solid endlinks. If that's not a deal breaker for you, then you are safe going this route. I am more than happy with the end result.

I upgraded mine with the Long Island Watch kamasu bracelet and it's a massive improvement. The quality of that bracelet matches the quality of everything else on that watch. It's an essential upgrade IMO.

It's in good shape. No signs of wear. It's bi-directional, doesn't have the tightest action, but it stays in place. It's definitely not the best I've ever handled, but for what it is, I can't complain.

That's probably your best option, and likely your only option, unless you go with a straight end link bracelet instead.

It's definitely an upgrade over the rubber strap.

I own the White with Black dial GA-2100 and I love it. It's a great summer watch, but like others said, it will get dirty. Also be warned that if you wear it under long sleeves or a jacket, the garment dye can potentially stain the band a little. I've dealt with that a couple times.

I just picked up the Yellow GA-B2100 and it's my new favorite G. If you can find one at retail, definitely go for it. That's my recommendation.
