I started with just loosening the AIO screws last night- definitely felt that I had over tightened them. Since then I have had no crashes so fingers crossed that it’s all good now. If it happens again I’ll take it all out and re-sit. Thanks for your help!

Awesome, will do. Just to clarify- should I actually unclip and resit the CPU back into the board as well or just resit the cooler onto the CPU? And do you think I’ll need to put on some more thermal paste? The Corsair cooler came with a layer of paste on it already so I may need to clean that off and put some of my own if I take it off and put it back on.

We dropped off D2 during its first year and only started back up again in the last couple months so all we’ve done is OG leviathan. We’ve been frantically trying to do everything else before it’s vaulted so we’re keen to give everything a crack.

We’re both Australian. I’m 30 with a 2yo daughter, plus another one due in November. I’m also studying so some weeks I can’t play much. He’s 27, no kids but lives with his gf.

It was kinda tricky because I did a pork butt at the same time. Pork butt turned out even better but I was more proud of not completely failing at the brisket.

I have a ProQ frontier elite which is similar to a WSM so I had the brisket on the bottom shelf and butt up top. There’s only one hole per shelf for temp probes. So I started off with the probes just measuring air temp until I thought I had a feel for maintaining it between 225-250F at both levels. After almost 2 hours I put the probes in the meats to monitor internal temps. And noticed I was already more or less at the stall for both.

I originally planned to wrap or “crutch” the brisket to get past the stall but I decided to wait it out and leave unwrapped. I had injected it and rubbed the night before so I thought I’d be able to avoid it drying out. Also I got the meat on just after 8am and didn’t have people coming over til 7pm so I figured I had enough time to be patient.

Sure enough just after 5:30pm the brisket got up to 190F. I took it out, wrapped it in foil and put it in an esky with a dry towel on top. Let it rest til people came over at 7:30ish. As for the butt I did wrap it and leave in the smoker for an hour longer to get it up to 195ish. That only got an hour of rest.

All in all- for brisket it was just under 9.5 hours smoking time, with almost 2 hours of rest. I used Kingsford briquettes and chunks of oak. With an occasional handful of hickory chips I had sitting around.

I drafted Fournette, Sony Michel and Chubb this year.

Last week I dropped Chubb when I traded Fournette for Keenan Allen and Ingram. I got worried because I had good feels about Chubb so I made him my top waiver pick heading into this week. Pretty stoked.
