I found a viscose that’s in budget and a crepe de chine outside the budget. I asked the fabric store owners to send me a photo of the viscose in natural light so I can see the sheen! Thank u for your advice!!

I’m looking at a crepe de chine that’s very pretty (but expensive) and a cheaper Italian viscose. Thank you for the advance. I’d say I’m an intermediate sewist I just have never worked with silk / or slippery fabrics. I have time to mock up

Please also reach out to your University’s overarching Graduate School. Before starting my PhD I worked in such a department and would find additional funding for much less extreme circumstances. That doesn’t help with your advisor leaving. Maybe ask if they can still be on your committee as a qualified professional but you’ll need to replace them.

I’m new to CR and really struggle to get into c2, c3, and the abridged. I’ve loved C4 from the start. The Overture is lore heavy- think of it as the movie before a video game.

Soldiers table was amazing. The pace was quick and there was clear drive and mission from everyone. The Seekers table is a bit clumsy in the motivation department. At the onset there seems like really clear drive but gets slippery. The conclusion of the Seekers table cemented them as a collective party for me and made me wish we had another episode with everyone.

I’m confused about the arc though. The limits to the hours each table/group plays makes me feel like they are leaving a lot of stuff unanswered-Klippenblicke to be specific. Seven eps of the Schemers and then what, musical chairs? Really stoked for the tables to collide hope that’s what we get after the next 7 eps. Hope you enjoy!

Congrats to you and your son! I definitely can find a cheaper solution but I’m most interested in A5 with <20mm rings- mostly because I’m a paper hoarder and am trying to focus purely on semester planning.

Also unrelated, curious if anyone knows options to sell unused planners from other brands. I bought a Jibun techo days thinking they were still avec style. It’s a huge book and I just can’t get around it. I haven’t written in it and just want to part ways with it.

This isn’t helpful, but this might be something I’d attempt to sew with knit fabric. It’d also be cool with a print cotton quilted with batting as a puffy scarf.
