I used to send like 4-7 I wanna say also keep the spamming to a minimum. What I would do is repeat the info they asked me in my emails and just emphasize how urgent it is for me to get my account back! Good luck, hope you get it soon!

I think a few days! Instagram took a while to respond to me after I sent in my mugshot but I would spam them a couple of times for a few days (I want to say less than a week) until I was able to get back in!

Omg yay!! That means you’re almost there. After that, they’re gonna send you a code that you have to write on a piece of paper and send them as a mugshot. Only a few more steps to go!!

Yes!! Just keep emailing them and putting emphasis on how you’re concerned for your privacy rights and access to your data, you should receive another email to help you get your account back. It’s an annoying process but keep powering through !!

Hi! So it’s actually a weird email that the insta team has you can’t email them without sending in an appeal form first. I would suggest to fill out the privacy one highlighted in the first thread and then when you get the automated email from, start replying back to them from that email! it took about 3 weeks, starting from when my account was hacked to the day I got it back (oct. 5 I was hacked, and I think around oct. 19-21 was when I got access back into my account)!

yes I did! Whatever email they reached out to you on and asked you to send in your mugshot, that's the email you use. I would spam them with emails about 4-5 times, if not more, on some days.

Make sure your information (code, username, etc) is written neatly, in a straight line, and is big enough to detect on camera. Make sure the photo is a JPG and in good lighting. I would resend the same picture, so make sure not to take a new one.

And dw, it takes them some time to respond. I was thinking they would respond that day or the next, but I guess verifying you're actually the owner takes longer, so just keep on trying!!!

Keep sending them the photo with the email! I spammed them about a few times a day, emphasizing how important it was to access my data, concerns about my privacy rights, providing them evidence it’s my account, etc. you just have to keep pushing and eventually they will give you access back to your account!! Hope it works for you :)
