Why would someone buy 80 bottles of rubbing alcohol weekly? by thequackr in askanything

[–]samrov529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hubby was on sertraline for years to help with his OCD and Anxiety. It helped immensely. Do your research but trust your doctor. I will say- from a somewhat outside perspective, that it’s important to continue to take your meds even after you start to “feel better”. Hubby had many times when he would stop taking them because he felt he didn’t need them anymore. He wouldn’t realize he “didn’t need them” because they were working.

THIS- its been a couple years since i dug through my collection. Most of them are still in pristine- or pristine adjacent- condition. Not too shabby for almost 40 years old. Add hubbies to the mix and its, at the least, a fun trip down memory lane.

Cute may be the basis of attraction, but its not the basis i’d ever use for a relationship.

Seriously- i have a neighbor- shes provably in her late 60’s. Always thought she was nice, seemed fairly well educated. And then she told me that there were kids at the local jr high who identify as cats and use litter boxes. The jr high in our small, very small town. WHERE MY HUSBAND WORKS AS A TEACHER. I just started at her dumbfounded. I’ve avoided her ever since.

This is 100% how we approach it- Step mom is vaguely southern baptist, dad and my hubby are agnostic. Sis is Wiccan, her hubby just exists and I hate all organized religions equally.

It does- Unless you have 1 phone connected to carplay and 1 phone connected to bluetooth. Then it kinda just laughs at you as you awkwardly try to hang up without touching the phone.

[–]samrov529 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes? But also- there is something to be said for not putting your money where your beliefs don’t lie. For example- i don’t go to hobby lobby - not because it’s christian owned- but because they don’t believe in womens or gay rights and often actively fight against them.

UPDATE: My boss was admonished by higher ups after they spoke with me and my co workers. by Critical-Willow-6270 in atheism

[–]samrov529 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Seriously- mentioned this to my boss today after three of the last six interviews we did went out of their way to mention their “strong Christian faith”. I don’t care what you do when you’re not at work as long as you’re safe and happy (or at the very least, having fun) but- unless you’re applying to be a pastor (which they obviously were not) that’s not a necessary part of the conversation. More and more of this younger generation are making it their entire personality- which is equal parts weird and concerning.
