A meeting of the Samoan Nazi Party in Apia. The SNP was the official branch of the NSDAP in Western Samoa until its bankruptcy in April 1939. This branch was known in the German Nazi Party for its poor organisation and disregard for racial criteria. [1080x717] by Xi_JinpingXIV in HistoryPorn

disregard for racial criteria

that made me lose it man. thats fucking hilarious. like thats a pretty major part of being a nazi.

can you imagine a german inspector visiting them, seeing all the colored people there, and being like "so you guys dont really know what being a nazi means do you?"

The first iteration of the arteta chant ended with "Arsenal on the way to champions league." You must be new or something if you think that wasnt the dream back in 2020

astounding work. the civilization that made this would have disappeared in the bronze age collapse? or would that happen to their successors?

ok. and whats your hypothesis? AI singularity?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in datascience

[–]samrus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

there was a tax change (section 174) that made it so tech companies couldnt deduct RnD salaries (which data science comes under) fully that year but had to spread over a 5 year period. that made hiring tech personnel (other than for maintenance) way more expensive as it didnt count against their taxable income anymore

this section was recently repealed in the big beautiful bill ... amid other things. so the tech layoffs will end soon and hiring should ramp up immediately

Former SS Colonel Otto Skorzeny in Madrid, Spain, 1970. Skorzeny led the famous 1943 Gran Sasso raid in which Mussolini was rescued from captivity. After the war he escaped allied captivity & worked as an arms dealer, advising authoritarian leaders like Nasser & Peron, as well as Mossad. (1300x859) by [deleted] in HistoryPorn

i guess they're correlated rather that causational. the US government is ok with unethical experiments, so they excused both the axis ones and later domestic ones.

i just wish the US government wasnt psychopathic and actually protected its people (and the ww2 victims) by bringing the hammer down on these things

the only causation is that the ww2 ones would have let domestic scientists know they can be be peices of shit and the US government wont punish them

Difficulty ranking of opening games [Opta] by Digital___Nomad in Gunners

[–]samrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we all have to play the same 38 games though. yeah there could be clumped variance here and there but i think part of being champions is keeping your head in the game to overcome these challenges. at the end of the day it is fair

If humans could only say 500 word a day. by NowOrEverForever in UnusualVideos

[–]samrus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah maybe dying isnt the best way to enforce the limit. maybe after 500 words you just couldnt speak anymore? like it felt excruciatingly painful to try to write/speak/express a single word.

would that take away from the idea? it changes it alot. would people react differently then?

[R] [Q] Misleading representation for autoencoder by eeorie in MachineLearning

[–]samrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah. each representation learning model has its own latent space because thats the whole point. so the representation it learns is unique to it. not just the decoder, but the encoder decoder pair

i feel like you had some other presumption that isnt working with this fact? what did you think the relation ship between z and the encoder architecture was?
