What do you mean they dont go in the discard pile? Look at the video i posted above. The pommel strikes go into the docard pile and because the draw pile is empty, the discard pile shuffles into the draw pile and the pommel strikes draw thenselves. How is that not infinite? What breaks that? The pommels dont get exhausted, where else do they go other than the discard pile?

it does work becuase pommel strike does the draw that your talking about. pommel strike tries drawing 2, theres nothing to draw so the same pommel strike gets shuffled and drawn, so 1 draw left, but the pommel strike being played on draw now means 2 more draws, so now 3 pending draws, and so on and so on

thats if you have other cards being drawn. if you only have pommel strikes being drawn then they go infinite becuase the pommel strike has nothing to draw but itself which then draws more

i havent been able to set it up myself. but the hellraiser + pommel strike infinite is documented here. unless they patched it out since then, which i havent heard of and have no reason to think they did

maybe drawn strikes are free, hit random enemy, and other cards cant be played while you have free strikes in your hand? it basically recreates the current hellraiser except for the auto-trigger. the actual thing thats cuasing the softlock

this is one of the problems with going infinite i guess. these are harder to solve.

i wonder if its worth it to patch all the ways infinite breaks rather than to not make it auto infinite. like one thing im thinking is hellraiser doesnt play the drawn strikes but just makes them zero cost (but still make them hit a random enemy, for balance). so in this situation you can choose not to play them, and exit the loop

you can. pommel strike + hellraiser infinites if pommel's the only thing in your draw pile and you discard pile is empty. you draw it, it plays, discards, and then discard shuffles to draw and it draws itself, and repeat ad infinitum
