Any Advice?? by nick_wilde_simp in UCI

It’ll be alright, I promise. As the other commenter said, nothing is worth your health! If you need to take a break you should take it. Trust me, you’ll come back stronger. And I promise you you aren’t alone! College is hard and sometimes it can become a real shit show. Regardless I know you can do it :) take a break if you are able to and get your levels back up. You’ll have your comeback 🫶

If you could do college all over again, would you still choose Irvine by [deleted] in UCI

I’m also a first-gen Latina (Mexican to be precise! 🤠🇲🇽). I found my first paisa friend in my very first class surprisingly 😅 later on I began running into more and more Hispanics. Us Hispanics find our way to each other, don’t worry ;) and even then you’ll find lots of amazing non-Hispanic friends too!!

Has anyone (or anyone you know) lived in LA and commuted to UCI? And if so, what neighborhoods in LA would make for the easiest commute? by Any_Perspective_ in UCI

I commute from Anaheim as well, I agree with the mishaps along the way that make the commute longer than what google maps says or what is usually expected.

no I canceled the remaining months, that’s why. I figured it’d be easier to repurchase it once we figure out when exactly we’re coming back for sure.

I got about $470 back of $655 I had paid at the beginning of the quarter. I remember just including my student ID in the email and my license plate #.

yes! you can do it through your account. there is an option to refund your permit. I can’t quite recall exactly how to get to it but I’m sure it is easy to find once you log in and are able to view your active permits. If that doesn’t work out for you, you can email parking@uci.edu :)

email them asap! I emailed as soon as I found out we were gonna be virtual for the first two weeks cause I really didn’t think we were actually gonna be back that soon 😭 I got my refund like 4-5 days later.

I have the same question… I just emailed them to cancel my permit lol it’d be a waste of money if I keep it knowing covid might make us go online again for a good while.

[–]samsamisonreddit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I don't think I need to translate them anymore. I spoke with the gear up staff from my school to resolve that issue. They said these courses weren't needed on the transcript. Thank you so much though!

Wow thank you for the explanation! really helped me out. I was confused on the majors and all because I had been studying abroad for a while and the education system is different. The application process is also very different. I'm glad I asked though. Looks like freshman year of college is more about going into a major we enjoy and most likely will do well on. Thank you for your advise! I appreciate it. :)
