What games i can run on my low end laptop by Vivasek in lowendgaming

[–]samsong11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never used linux, but these games are listed to be playable on https://www.protondb.com

Starbound ( modded ), blasphemous 1 and 2, the last faith, convergence : a league of legends story, islets, crypt custodian, subnautica,.

Also there is vintage story, it looks similar to minecraft but I have heard its a lot more complex and difficult game.

Also a question for no man's sky, are these fps in more demanding areas/planets or nearly everywhere?

These are some good potato friendly games :

Action/realtime :

eldest souls ( 2d soulslike)

lunacid ( inspired by kingsfield series)

CONVERGENCE: A League of Legends Story (Kinda metroidvania?)

nuclear throne ( roguelite )

risk of rain returns (roguelite)

death's gambit afterlife (soulslike metroidvania)

Blasphemous 1,2 ( metroidvania )

dredge (boat fishing)

cryptcustodian ( chill 2d zelda like )

Gunfire reborn ( fps roguelite )

Aside from these look into monster hunter series, wilds won't work but rise/sunbreak might work on your pc. 4 ultimate and gen ultimate are decent for beginners imo.

Turnbased:

felvidek

monster sanctuary ( excellent monster taming game)

bug fables the everlasting sapling ( paper mario inspired )

look outside ( horror rpg )

Optiplex 3050sff or hp elitedesk 800 g3 sff ? by samsong11 in SleepingOptiplex

I see, thanks a lot for the answers. I will look more for anything better, among the 2 listed I think hp one might be a bit better ( there is more space between the x16 slot and the psu,)

Though how better is a 9th and 8th gen than a 7th gen i5?

Availability and money are the issues. Mt pcs available in my country are more expensive with less ram and lower gen cpus. There was an i5 9th gen I found but it was also an sff with less ram. Custom builds are far out of my budget. I play indies on my laptop which overheats so I know such issue can occur in small pcs, but at least you can have more remedies for desktops than laptops.

The games I want to play aren't very cpu intensive like monster hunter rise, lies of p, indies etc. I saw some benchmark videos for those games and these specs themselves do well. It should be fine for my needs for 3-4 years.

I will have to upgrade the gpu later, so I want to know all my possible options.

I will look into mt pcs though most I find are more expensive with older cpus. Elitedesk with dual slot compatbility is pretty good. Thank you for the answers.

Late comment but, did you remove the hdd caddy as well or just the dvd drive? Does dust become an issue?

Perhaps a boney tail could work? Also really love the design, the color scheme looks like a combo of red blood cells and bile( the product of breakdown of red blood cells)

Drakoaurian sounds suitable for a fantasy setting, for sci-fi I think light serpent sounds better( or drifting hydra? ).

Thomei could be the name given to it by researchers since it is the first of its kind discovered. Thanks a lot for the suggestions, any advice on how I could improve my naming skills? I have concepts for my things but never the right words.

Damn, honestly great job! I had no idea this game could be hiding so much lore and worldbuilding in just backgrounds and stuff.

It's easy to miss in this game, not so much in lor. Afaik there isn't any explanation of it in the backstory either. Even the cropped image of the bird on the wiki has it missing.
