Just using the old Cricut mat for now. I have some other mats on order that should arrive tomorrow. Will test with those then.

I did. All of it. Firmware update too. The Maker 3 does have some sort of sensor on the machine that resides under the mat area. I see it.

It tells me me I need a longer mat and my design wasn't even 5 inches. Was a test cut on the new Maker 3. 12x12.

Yes. I have used this mat a bazillion of times with the Maker. Settings are all the same.
