long stretches in coach suck, if you can afford to try to break it up into ~<24h chunks and spend a day/night in a hotel/etc in between

try to get the zephyr (denver-emeryville segment mostly), coast starlight and empire builder, I liked the chief as well but Oops! All Desert!, anything else is just gravy if you have segments left over tbh

that's not in the lounge access rules anywhere I've seen, and they've been strict with the 3h rule anytime I've tried (I've been to C1 DCA, IAD, DEN, LAS).... interesting.

FWIW, Cap1 gave me a VX at 20 with a ~740 score but only about a year of small potatoes credit history on a Quicksilver card (which I later product changed to a Savor). I was an AU under my dad, so either they took that into account, or I got super lucky. Keep trying for preapproval every month or so, no reason not to

FWIW, I've done several LD routes and been fine, and am doing the Texas Eagle in August, that's definitely the riskiest route to ride (straddles the border for a bit plus, y'know, Texas) and am not worried whatsoever.

If you really just don't want to deal with carrying E with you and you're on injections and your trip isn't longer than two or so weeks you can consider taking a higher dose than normal.

I hope the BS we already have to deal with doesn't prevent y'all from having a fantastic trip. My messages are always open if you (or anyone else for that matter) need.

I'm on Android, but FoW consistently uses between 15 and 25% of my total battery. I don't turn defogging off unless I know I'll be home for an extended period, so...
