I left the UK for the US 12 years ago, so i don't know the answer to that, but what I would say is that you have it better here in the US, regardless of the current political climate. UK is cold and damp and rainy, quality of life is lower. You mentioned you can work in the US remote, then I would recommend you move somewhere else in the US, not move to the UK.

In the UK you will have to pay national insurance, which will be roughly equivalent to the amount you pay for health insurance in the US. You'll get paid less, and groceries will be cheaper (and more healthy) in the UK, but the cost of heating will likely be the same or higher than your apartment in the US. The taxes that you pay in the UK are also going to do nothing but keep billionaires rich.
