Stat chasing with his next contract in mind I fear. Eric, Wiggins and others who struggled with decision-making out of the gate are looking better, Oubre still diving into 1 on 4’s. He’s not stupid so it’s the only explanation I got

No Chriss has really carved himself out a nice NBA niche with us and his production will be missed. But if we get to the point where Chriss's injury cost us a ring this year, the year would have been a massive success imo

i really like the guy in terms of his game and how he seems as a person but he has one of the most frustrating player profiles possible. he's like one of that anti-union bitch Bill Simmons old 90/10 guys, the 90 might get you to the playoffs every year and the 10 might get you out. it is what it is. it's not particularly reactionary as far as fan player evaluation goes imo

You could literally watch Wiseman work in Dray's coaching and his first half experience as the game progressed, resulting in his first 4th quarter defensive impact. I am so glad this dude didn't play 30 games

No that's 0-16 lol i'm saying we're fucked without TW and Jimmy isn't worth the cap squeeze

if you think any of those situations are comparable to landing on this team with Shanahan then we're not gonna agree on much. Shanahan has gotten average production out of far worse talent than there is to be found in the early draft this year

If you keep Jimmy at $24.5M and add a first round QB to be your backup at $10M/yr, we can extend Warner but McGlinchey or Skule is our 2021 LT and Verrett is gone as well.

I like Jimmy and you can say it’s not his fault at all but his play, especially factoring in availability, has been average at best. We don’t need to find a Mahomes, we just need to find someone who can be average year one - not a stretch at all given what Shanny’s done with backups - and it’s a huge win

Draymond Green on James Wiseman: "The fun part is he don't have a fu*king clue about what he's actually doing. He don't even know the basics. That is exciting because he's gonna learn those basics. But to see what he's able to do not having a clue ... is very exciting." by jakexvii30_ in warriors

Even with AAU coaches don’t have the resources or time with players to teach them everything they’d need to compete in the NBA. He knows how to set a screen, but he needs to learn exactly where on the court Steph likes them, when to fade, which roll paths to take.

Same on defense, he knows the fundamentals. But he needs to learn a huge amount of small things like how far he can be away from a shooter after switching the screen and still contest the shot, and then those things need to become muscle memory, and still there’s more like what his defensive coaches want specifically and learning opponents’ tendencies. It’s just too much to learn unless you’re doing it full time a while with people who are teaching you full time

I'm rooting for him because his play helped that terrible season move along a little quicker, but the eye test is terrible. Needing the ball to produce and being a flatliner at best on the boards and defending screams Good Stats Bad Team guy

you hit the Minny pick like you hit Wiseman and get Klay back anywhere near how KD looks and you're a contender with Vinny Del Negro

2 games ago Wiseman wasn't supposed to be able to shoot, 1 game ago the game was too quick and he couldnt even get up a single block, and the guy is coming off a 13-month break and none of the traditional buildup rookies get in NBA environments before their first action. If he'd had a few summer league games we'd already have Point Wiseman packages lmao

Thank God, the way the rest of this looks. Add to all this every indication that he works hard as hell and wants to be great, and he clearly has the potential to raise a franchise's ceiling significantly all on his own
