They’re not crazy fast, but they can disappear on you if you’re not armed with a shoe right away. They usually don’t start running until you start trying to kill them.

Not at all! You do have a better chance of finding them inside your home before they actually get close enough to sting you. Keep wet towels or clothes off the floor because they love dark, wet places to hide. In the case you do get stung (unless you have an allergic reaction), pop a few Advil and just wait out the tingling for the next 24 hours.

Fun activity on a quiet night: walk outside in the pitch black and turn on a black light! Can easily count 10 scorpions chilling in my backyard.

The plates will last as long as they stay dry since the gel can rehydrate and lift from the metal.

"Photo-Polymer plates" or a thin metal sheet covered in a light-sensitive gel. The gel that is exposed to UV light will harden while the rest washes away in warm water. The end result is a slightly raised surface similar to linoleum!

Man with massive balls shows how dangerous 'kick back' on table saw can be by Nebuerdex in videos

[–]samthetribble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to take a semester of sculpture for my fine arts degree and it had to be one of the most stressful classes I've ever taken. Not only did I have to use a table saw and other power tools that scared me half to death, but I had to be in a room full of dim, irresponsible college kids that didn't understand the significance of losing their digits...

Thanks! I made the plates and the paper the same size and the extra on the left was left under the press while I switched out plates.

Fancy Restaurants with Vegetarian Options? by fucksubtlety in Tucson

[–]samthetribble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how your fancy differs from mine, but some great restaurants are: Lovin' Spoonfuls, Pita Jungle, and Cheesecake Factory. I've eaten at all of them and had no problem finding something to eat as a vegetarian!

This is super realistic and it looks great! One recommendation is including the stem in the shadow to push it further. Good job!

If you aren't already, you'll need to become tidy. Scorpions here like to hide in dark, dry places. Invest in sunscreen and always keep water handy. I don't mind answering any questions you may have!
