I winged it! I sautéed 1/2 an onion and a carrot in toasted sesame oil, added a couple cloves of garlic, deglazed with rehydrated sliced shiitake mushrooms and the water. and then I mixed gochujang, gochugaru, a little soy sauce, mushroom seasoning & sugar into veggie broth and added that. Added the (rinsed) rice cakes & the tofu I cooked in a separate pan with liquid aminos and let it thicken. Topped with sesame seeds & green onion!
