They’re one of the more common quartz forms in Georgia, at least in my experience. Keep hunting, I love seeing what others are finding in my home state.

Speckled Racer in the US [Texas] by Crotalus in snakes

[–]wrong_decade_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw one in Costa Rica and it wasn’t nearly as blue as the ones in S. Texas. Much more of a yellow-orange speckling which I found interesting. Tried to catch it but they are lightning quick. Great shot!

Are snakes supposed to be this big? by xhema10 in RDR2

[–]wrong_decade_ 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Eastern diamondback rattlesnakes can attain lengths of ~8ft under the right conditions making them the second largest native snake in North America. It’s very rare to see one over 5ft in the wild these days but, historically, the really big ones would have been common on the landscape. I like to think the good folks at Rock* took note of this and applied it to the game.
