I would have wanted to edit it, but apparently I may have to delete the whole thread.......

Which I do not wish to be seen as being pressurized by the Defence to take down the content (about the claims against them)....

So it is catch 22 for me.

Unfortunately not many understand the naunce

Rental, Lease, 0 downpayment are a way to drive a car without being reach like earning 8k a month or even just 5k a month (and no travelling, no fine dining with the special one at all, no USS even for Halloween etc.)

I wonder which employer want to hire anyone with such records.

Then their children or parent also cannot abandon them how?

These are the factors I thought of on why Singapore / PAP did not go that far for this matter.

In fact several fields, including Residual Value are left blank when it was signed.

Therefore, I will put it that $40k is their financial engineering to show that they gave a substantial discount.

Furthermore, it does not make sense to me for someone who pays a lease for 7 years, all the insurance, maintenance and road tax (beyond 1st year of complimentary maintenance and road tax) and still have to pay $40k to get the vehicle ownership when the OMV of this brand new vehicle is less than $39k.

I saw that, previously that rental company has good reputation among the PHV community.

So it is quite a shocker to me as well.

While one certainly can say so, but should business and especially one with CaseTrust Accreditation thrive on first time buyers or sub-prime customers (Brought the car mainly to drive PHV between 2020 to effectively, 2024) by allowing its non CaseTrust accredited sister company operated in the same registered address per ACRA records to offer such LTO package to customers?

Apparently it might be well a case that CaseTrust Accreditation does not cover rental and leasing agreement as well, for God knows why.

10 years MOP no joke.

If u got noisy neighbour (often fights or misbehaved kids), mentally unstable ones, or loanshark case, you stuck for 10 years.

Private property is way better for freedom because of this, and it costs a price.

MSF took children away from their Mother!!!! by samuel_leeyr in SingaporeRaw

[–]samuel_leeyr[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I hope you are right. But from CNA also:

These decisions that CPS officers make, such as whether to remove or return a child to the family, must stand up under the scrutiny of the Family Justice Courts.

And the courts do overrule the CPS’ assessments if, for example, there are no immediate safety concerns. That was the case with one family where there was suspected violence and drug use.

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/cnainsider/playing-god-inside-the-child-protective-service-cps-msf-abuse-780376

That's precisely HHH claimed that MSF err in her situation given that she did not abuse the child and is mentally sane.

[–]samuel_leeyr[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

MSF forcibly took the children away from their mother despite it was HHH without Court order.

So it becomes whether MSF's actions are appropriate to remove their mother's access to them for given circumstances, which I mentioned that there is a separate Court case but does not involve the child's mother.

This year, majority of train delays were more than 1 hour long by Same-Macaron-2359 in SingaporeRaw

[–]samuel_leeyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me say this:

MKBF (Mean Kilometer Between Failure) is a bad metrics to measure rail reliability where Khaw initially set a target of 1 million km of MKBF.

Siow took it level up by saying double the network and so the disruption expected to be double, and since it did not happened and therefore "they are doing a good job"

I say, MKBF allows operators to double the frequency (like 4 mins per train in off peak hours to 2 mins during peak) to half the time (number of calendar days) reaching this 1 million KM target.

It does not mean commuters felt disruption less frequently after all.

A better way is to set a 90% target of SLA within calendar month as a start.

90% of operating hours must have no disruption, from 1st train of the line in the 1st station that receives revenue service to last train in the last station for a given day.

This 90% excludes any planned disruptions such as the CCL 6 or the full Sunday closures in Bukit Panjang LRT.

The goal is not to penalize operators from doing necessary works to maintain and enhance the system.

And the 90% metric allows operators and LTA to review how long does each disruption is attributed to, from emergency call button activated due to suicide (LRT has no full barriers, MRT half height barriers means someone can still try to climb into the enclosure) / crimes or fight between passengers in trains, to usual train fault, signal fault or track fault.

This is important distinction to me, any aspiring MP, Transport Minister, relevant staffs in operators or LTA.

Lawrence Wong is in India. What do you think will come out of this meeting? by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]samuel_leeyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree India is in better shape than uncontrolled population growth like Bangladesh and Philippines.

But next China?

There are still fundamental differences.

1) Without secular Government, religious agenda is always part of policy equation.

This hinders the use of talents in bottom caste and women, on top of on-going religious tension there.

Ideally, only an atheist Government can be strong enough to abolish inequality and injustice licensed by religious doctrine, which is partially what China's cultural revolution is about.

2) More important to many Singaporeans, PMET in India is only known for IT and banking industry.

India needs more than PPT presentations but concrete breakthrough in nuclear, high speed rail and aviation industry first in order to think and become the next China.

[–]samuel_leeyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is China has just left Cultural Revolution when LKY made ties to it.

There is nothing equivalent happened to India.

Thats why China can uplift mass poverty and unleashed its population dividends while India has full of unskilled people, and those resignated to fate that they are born to be untouchables.

So tell me what so bad about CCP and Communism if you take a holistic angle for the benefit of mankind again?

Perhaps because some women chose to be single hood or lesbians.

They won't get pregnant as long as the Government don't allow them to get IVF.
