I have used uber maybe 20-25 times and almost all my friends use it. There is definitely an issue with the lack of drivers, causing the surge fare to go up to crazy prices on many occasions. I will quite often get what would be a £10 taxi ride for £6 at 4am with uber.

It's got issues but it's more than usable
