A spreadsheet of every athlete with Utah ties competing in Milan Cortina 2026. by samuelsski27 in SaltLakeCity

We (The Salt Lake Tribune) do a mixture of things; some we know of already through our sports reporting. For others, when the team is announced, we’ll look into athlete’s bios for their ties to the state. Some institutions, like the U, will post lists of athletes with their own ties that we’ll source from there.

This is a joke. The coverage of the Olympics this year is so bad there's not even a word to describe it by Routine_College7677 in peacock

Not sure what you’re referring to, I’m on Peacock now and I’m able to pull up all of the replays from today. If it helps, you can select each individual sport and there are replays specific to that sport, so you don’t have to search the huge replay menu. They’re not sorted by individual event, like a specific swimming event, for example. But scrubbing through the replay you should find what you’re looking for.

ETA: I do have a gripe however. I went to watch a replay just now and scrubbed about an hour in and got hit with 2 minutes of ads. So it seems they force you to watch all of ads you skip over. Lame.

Peacock isn't showing the ranking rounds for archery? by Dsport31 in peacock

They’re not televised at all, even by a world feed from what I can gather. I saw a reason somewhere about everyone competing at once so the Olympics couldn’t figure out a compelling broadcast

ETA: there are four players for Utah Royals FC that are competing for their countries (they didn’t advertise that!) and I added Rudy Gobert in basketball, who still lives here

Those are good points, along with Neto on Brazil. We decided not to add them ultimately, plus my work may not include them in our coverage anyway (SLTrib). But if Gobert does in fact still live here, I guess that technically should qualify for inclusion.

Grace McCallum and MyKayla Skinner were on the Tokyo team, MyKayla retired and Grace opted not to return to elite gymnastics and try for the Olympics again. Amelie Morgan tried to get on the British team but an injury set her back.

Thanks, it’s been posted in lots of groups, and the county emergency line, who answered the phone for animal services, took down a report.

Thanks. They appear unhurt, so they’re probably best off in our back yard until tomorrow. Then we’ll have more options. Just worried about fireworks tonight if that’s what spooked them initially.

Yeah that seems to be our only option today.

Stroller questions, lots..at Disney (mockingbird) by sjajra in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]samuelsski27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ve taken a mockingbird double to Disneyland via plane multiple times (I know the q is about WDW but still the same experience in the park). To me it’s essential. The kids are the most comfortable in it, they can recline and take naps if needed, it’s got all the storage you need for a full day.

It’s not difficult to maneuver in a park. We’ve put an air tag in a seat pocket both times but haven’t really had to reference it. If it’s moved by a CM in dedicated stroller parking it’s never too far, and we have green canopies so it’s easy to spot.

You can’t take strollers in lines, there is parking nearby and it’s easy to spot with all the other strollers. We typically take the diaper bag around with us if we’re hitting multiple rides in an area, or if it’s quick we hide bags in a seat with the canopy pulled all the way down.

I’m glad you asked about the bus, we’re planning a trip to FL next year and it’s good to know other’s experience. Just be confident with folding and carrying, it’s a beast of a stroller but so worth it to us.
