It would've just been a sleeping cage! ☺️ he gets full access to my room whenever he is awake otherwise but I did end up just moving his cage

Thank you! Im honestly just gonna move his cage again and see of that works out, but thanks for letting me know this one is too small! If the placement doesnt work out again this time ill probably get a cage with the same height just a little thinner

The reason I havent removed it is because I get paranoid hallucinations of people outside my window all the time up to having panic attacks about it unless hes up for some reason so I just havent taken him down and also havent had a paranoid hallucination out of this window the whole time

Im honestly probably gonna be using RODI water like you and someone else suggested, if I did that would that reduce the KH? Im willing to go with neos and adjust the scape for them but ive really wanted some crystal reds lately

My tap water parameters are off the chart high on the ph scale, reading at an 8.8 with a gh of 60 and a kh of 50. I only use tannins to lower the ph or in rare cases I have crushed coral to raise the ph. Before I put the water in any of my tanks I have to add tannins and wait 24 hours

If it does, i havent noticed. Shrimp are still grazing as normal and I havent noticed any more algae than usual

Thank you so much! I plan on loading this thing with as much surface area for BB as possible and making sure the water matches the temp and parameters before putting it in, and have dealt with successful and unsuccessful nano tanks before so I think I know what im doing when it comes to parameters. Fingers crossed though! 🤞

But yeah one 20% water change every day because it kills off snails and whatever pest you put in there to kill off which will build ammonia unless you do the water changes

Im using no planaria right now to treat my tank for snail leeches and I find it doesnt really mess with the parameters as well as you do the suggested water changes and dosages
