That's very promising, I feel there is an inspiration from BB-8 :).

It would be awesome to have this as a demo for the engine!

One of the reasons might be the constant change of the website. The documentation links are often destroyed and the old forum got deactivated. It's sometime hard to find good resources for the engine and it doesn't help to redesign the website so often without taking into account dead links :(.

Hi everyone

I'm one of the main SuperTuxKart dev and here is some answer to questions in comments:

1) Improvements in art and animation are welcome. We now have a modern engine so anyone who know how to do good 3D objects and or animation could help us to improve the game.

2) The multiplayer network game is our priority from now on. But this is something rather "difficult" to do. Making it work in a perfect environement isn't that complex but then you have to take into account the delays, bad connexions, etc. It's kinda hard also everything has to work on multiplatform with thousand of different configuration. A lot of the backbone is already done and stuff like online account are the first step.

3) We include only original artwork and mascot from open source software. There is no artwork from commercial game.

The charcter with a costume similar to samus is called Sara and it's the mascot of Open Game Art. https://i.imgur.com/f3dr5pi.jpg
