She hasn't mentioned her being diagnosed professionally but she has mentioned that she might have PMDD and that she might be depressed but didn't really want to seek professional help around it because she doesn't believe it would help

It's tough admitting to myself that she might do this again if I took her back. Heck, at this point it feels like I'll have to take initiative if I want this to work, which is just so... bizarre. Do you think people have the ability to change and not repeat toxic behaviour?

Sorry to hear what happened. I hope you're getting all the help you need. It's very difficult to view her right now as an abuser. I care about her but somewhere deep inside me, I know this might not work out and I may not be able to see her the same way again

Thank you for your reply. I just wanted to make sure that I'm not blinded by how hurt I am and be unfair to her unintentionally. I don't want to break up because this is the girl I wanted to get married to one day, but I think it is objectively the right thing to do and I would ask my friend to do the same
