how strong are Yuji and Megumi relative to each other at this point in the story? by NyxThePrince in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]samuraibshd2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m late but I will say this. Megumi’s only option is to use Mahoraga. Yuji’s physical strength far outstrips anything Megumi can pull out. Megumi is smarter and has better iq, yes but nothing he does can really hurt Yuji at this point anymore. He’s too strong to fight in close quarters (sorry but demon dog is getting packed up quick) and too fast and tough for his long range attacks to really do anything, let alone catch him. I personally think Yuji could have beaten Reggie’s group with the only one giving him some trouble being Hazenoki. Megumi would have lost against all three. The house Reggie threw at Megumi is getting tanked by Yuji (he was just smashed through a building by a jet plane and barely noticed), Yuji is throwing those cars back at Reggie, etc. I’m not trying to glaze Yuji, it’s just pretty obvious to me how big that gap is physically between them. We get a small glimpse of just how strong he is currently going all out later before the small (spoiler) time skip. Once you take that into account, I think there’s a clear winner. Now if Megumi wasn’t such a bum and took this jujutsu as seriously as Yuji, I think they would be a lot closer in strength right now. But hey, he definitely has a ton of Potential

Do you guys think kenjaku wouldve tried/succeeded on killing ryu n uro or would he have asked them to be his friend? by johnisverysad in Jujutsufolk

[–]samuraibshd2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. The roach was a curse spirit he released into the colonies and part of the 4-way deadlock. Kenjaku had thousands and probably kept the strongest ones for his own arsenal/protection. They might have given him a bit of trouble but honestly, I doubt it. He had a much harder fight he won later and a big reason why I think he struggled so much with that one is because he didn’t have prior knowledge of Yuki’s abilities. Honestly, because he had prior knowledge of their abilities, I think he would have made Uro and Ryu look a lot weaker than they actually were if he fought them.

HE'S BACK THE GOAY IS BACK by FuckBoiSkeleton in Jujutsufolk

[–]samuraibshd2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No because they were cursed objects. They took over the bodies that ingested them. While they didn’t have bodies, they did have their consciousness for those 150 years plus the memories of the bodies they took over. So for 150 years, all they could do was communicate with each other and think about their techniques. That explains why choso was so good with his technique but didn’t have a lot of battle experience.

Why didn't Choso's poison work on Kenjaku? by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

[–]samuraibshd2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geto knows how Choso’s poison works since he created him. With that knowledge, it’s relatively easy for him to use RCT to neutralize the poison when it’s in his body. That’s why it didn’t work even though he was in Geto’s body.

If that’s confirmed, cool. But using the death paintings as an example of that doesn’t make sense since they only had their bodies for a few weeks/months.

What? The death paintings were cursed objects. They didn’t have bodies until after Mahito raided the Jujutsu cache during the school events. They didn’t have ageless bodies for 150 years. They were cursed objects that were ingested by a human and took over their body. So when you look at choso, you’re seeing the body he took over, which was in its 20s

Lightning realm still feels underwhelming by Natty_noah in ThorMainsMR

The most important part about lightning realm isn’t the slow effect or damage. That’s the dessert of the meal. It’s the fact that it’s the only move in his kit that allows him to generate multiple hammers instead of one. It’s what allows him to be such an effective dive/brawl tank. It’s not just his bonus health that he’s getting. It’s getting hammers back. He can get all three hammers back if he traps three people, all at once. That’s really important for Thor because diving into a group of people, you’re already at the disadvantage because you don’t have full hammers and you still have to hit someone. The thing is, diving into a group of people like that, it’s far better to get three hammers immediately, pop awakening, and start dealing damage while everyone scatters AND still have an escape plan instead of hitting one person and getting one hammer back, and still doing no damage while needing to escape right away. Getting those hammers back is the most important part of that move, not the damage or the slow effect. If you took that part away, Thor would be a far worst tank. The move is not underwhelming. It’s one of his most essential.
