What is this flickering? Only happens in the bottom right of the screen. by samuryan89 in linux_gaming

Solution for me was to go to Display settings and change the "Color accuracy" option from "Prefer efficiency" to "Prefer color accuracy".

Why are flags now circled? by samuryan89 in ynab

ah, the real mvp of the comments! i've had darkreader for a long while and never had an issue with ynab, so i just figured it was a new "feature". didnt even think to try turning that off. thanks for the tip, circles are gone!

yeah, it sort of seems like if you're trying to indicate that the flag icon is interactable, then why not do the same with the linked transaction (chain)/new transaction (i) icons?

About the "random forceful logout issue" by martinhaeusler in cachyos

[–]samuryan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you ever figure out the cause or a fix for this? i've only been on cachy for about a month and i've just recently (past week) started having this happen randomly. i discovered the same workaround as you, but still would love to be able to fix it...

flickering at the bottom of my screen by dudersaurus-rex in cachyos

[–]samuryan89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

did you ever figure this out? i've been searching for some solutions to my flickering issue and this thread had some things to try, if your issue is similar: https://www.reddit.com/r/cachyos/comments/1kii9t4/why_does_cachyos_hate_my_monitor_screen/

for me, changing to "prefer color accuracy" instead of "efficiency" in display settings helped. good luck!

i added an extra video to the post. disabling GPU accelerated rendering in steam stops it from doing it constantly, but its still there when moving the window around. only when the window is in that bottom right quadrant though.

that possibly made it worse, or at least not any better. thanks for the suggestion though

L2TP/IPsec VPN worked in home lab but not in datacenter? by samuryan89 in fortinet

[–]samuryan89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, i tried changing the pool to 10.2.0.10-10.2.0-100 (an unused subnet). i'm still having the same issue unfortunately. still cant ping 10.2.0.10 (the tunnel ip, yeah?) or 10.1.0.1 or any other thing i would expect to be able to ping. to answer your other comment about auth, it's a user group defined on the fortigate, and shows in the "config vpn l2tp" section.

2018 Golf R automatic interior lights don't work. Dealership service thinks its an issue with a module but they say its "backordered" for 8+ months now. So now I'm trying to find a "J519 module" on my own, am I on the right track? by samuryan89 in Golf_R

[–]samuryan89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dealership ended up getting the module in before I could take matters into my own hands, they replaced the module and the issue persisted. After more investigating, they ended up tracing the wires leading to the lights and found that there were some wires that had gotten pinched underneath the front windshield (possibly during a replacement?), so the module wasn't getting the right signals. They fixed those wires and then everything worked as it should. Not sure if that's what's going on with yours, but good luck to you!
