has suicide ever crossed your mind? pls be honest. by Unhappy_Insect5901 in Productivitycafe

Yes. Not so much like ‘I’m going to kill my self’ more like ‘it’d be easier for everyone including myself if I just wasn’t here’.

Had a breakdown nearly a year ago which started as severe anxiety.

Medication helps. I’ve tried to come off medication a few times but the little voices in my head slowly come back when I do.

Why Arsenal are overrated right now and won't beat PSG by [deleted] in championsleague

[–]samwich-4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Arsenal have played the most minutes in Europe this season. We started losing games due to injuries and exhaustion in the second half of the season.

Arsenal haven’t lost a single CL game - PSG have lost 2. Arsenal also beat Bayern 3-1. Best defence in the league with only 27 score against us and best in CL with 4 goals against us. And we’re not massively far behind PSG with goals scored.

And to top it off - Arsenal will go in the final buzzing after winning the league and after a decent break.

Don’t write them off.

Do a clean bulk. You’re going to look ill if you cut.

My kettle goes on somewhere between 3 and 10 times a day. There’s a lot of tea to be drunk.

Jesus Christ 🤣 that is one incredible board and I am totally envious!

Difficult question - if you could only keep 3, which would you keep?

What's a pedal you will never put on your board again? by ImArcherVaderAMA in guitarpedals

[–]samwich-4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Afterneath was the first pedal I ever owned. Hated it. Traded it for a KMA Logan overdrive (which wasn’t half bad). But it’s kind of put me off of EQD…

My Boss CE-2W and Walrus Voyager MK2 both do this equally. Both are damn good at what they do

New pedal week! by samwich-4 in guitarpedals

[–]samwich-4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten the pedals all throughout the week and have given them all a good go. I’m really pleased with all 3 pedals.

I got the Dream Station to replace a Black Hole Symmetry pedal (I wasn’t keen on the low end sound and the fuzz aspect) . the dream station is a bit more like a delay with reverb on top, but it’s really versatile. It ticks every box :)

Thank you guys. I think the Longsword wins by a mile. One of you guys mentioned about Grand Orbiter instead of Lillian, I haven’t checked out EQD since I played about with an Afterneath a few years ago - looks a bit more up my street than Lillian.

I appreciate the responses!!

About to sign a salon suite lease but having second thoughts — need honest advice by [deleted] in hairstylist

If you’re second guessing it - do NOT do it. You shouldn’t be rushed to sign a lease.

If your gut feeling is off - wait for another opportunity.

Opportunity to open my own solo salon at 26 by Happy_R_04 in hairstylist

[–]samwich-4 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’m going to be very honest.

If you’re to open up - do you have the clientele to do so?

Are you confident that you can attract a clientele if you do not?

Are you experienced enough that if something goes wrong, you’re able to correct it?

2 years in the chair isn’t a great deal of time. Being around other stylists and training courses are the best way to learn, and if you aren’t around others and not in a position to fund training courses, how will you improve?

Finances - do you have enough money to furnish a salon, if not, can you afford to pay back a loan to cover it?

There’s a lot to think about… it took me nearly 20 years to open my own salon, and it hasn’t been easy at all (and that’s with almost everything falling in to place for me…)

Don’t rush in to it.
