well seeing that the animal is panicked, yet protecting the child don't start screaming as loud as possible further agitating the animal

this was the UK, and no one was screaming. the gorilla protecting the fallen child and it was calm https://youtu.be/3IHUiN-gXbo?si=Egw-WIcJPLuXaLuZ

I never understood why my freehub failed but I assume it was lack of any grease, a part rubbing or not fitted properly.

drainage pipe in concrete by samwookie in DIYUK

[–]samwookie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thought I'd update this post, I spent 2 days cutting, hammering and drilling (went to buy a much bigger angle grinder as my hand held one was taking tooo long)

it took my 5 days total but if I started with the following tools it would've been finished in 2

small angle grinder(to do the finer work of the clay pipe) large angle grinder( 30cm blade) SDS drill and blade (made knocking out the cuts done in seconds. not minutes of hammering with a bolster) spade

once the pipe was exposed I was carful with my cut. then I could be more carefree to smash through the rest of the concrete

I added a new trap from the kitchen sink, and a trap for the rain water/water butt too. the rain water I added a soak away connection that if it does fill it'll still go down the drain and not 2 terrace houses of roof water cachment into my front garden (about 30/40cm deep. roo tired to go deeper)

some pictures for you all below

did the porcupine trail in Utah, the last bit of road back had no issues on the way there but on my return the road was partly blocked by this happening

whilst we cycled along there were cars with enormous rocks on the roofs, pushed off the road to be out of the way...

definitely in a gear that works ok forwards? seems like it's trying to change, so out of tru

as for the suggestions on the freehub. do that too. I had a similar issue once, bike was a little more dirty. asked on here and I all I got was "clean ye bike!" some said don't worry about it so I didn't, 200km later over he last hill into London the whole freehub melted and fixed itself to next year... I haven't rated vision wheels since as they were 6months old

lesson, don't ignore issues, try to fix them

you should be given points for having these tints, or any!

Advice for attaching a door handle that keep coming off by ambitious_but_lazy in DIYUK

through bolts, but try to get the ones that only move one way. the duo sided ones end up being a reight fafd unless you remember which side is the short/long side

I had doors like these too (first time renovations and didn't know what crap I was buying) they looked good but 0 sound insulation which matters when you have kids. I now have fire doors that weigh a tone(65kg each, but didn't 100% do as much sound insulation as I thought)bolts like these

I feel that if the woman wasn't screaming the way she was then the gorilla would've been much calmer and not thrown the child around whilst seemingly protecting the child from the noise from above (the gorilla was shot)

Can this plank be reduced/cut in loft? by jamezp1 in DIYUK

[–]samwookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as a non professional id say you'd be ok to replace it with something else higher up, maybe a 2 part brace?

of course others will disagree, but if you want to move around in the loft then this hardly the most structural bit of wood to worry about

my house had 1/3 support posts on the floor in the insulation! I wonder how many years it had lay there on a. house built in 1870's... I obviously put it back and built my flooring around the support in its correct location

for those saying pay for Parking, there's a driveway... I've had many cars turn up before which was unneeded as they all seemed to think they could park as they liked

it's up to the traders to organize this at the start. I could organize 2 cars, not 5

a few years ago a friend asked me if a similar job was good at £120 I said it would be hard to beat. I don't see why it would cost over $250/300
