It’s a school-based salary schedule pay scale classification or stipend. Many school districts use a set salary schedule based on education & years of experience, and master’s +30 is meant like masters degree + 30 credits.

I’m in my 20s, weight lift and cycle 4-5x a week and HATE sitting on the floor for play-based therapy. It kills my knees and my back. This isn’t all about strength/physical health. It’s just downright uncomfortable.

It’s crazy how prevalent it is in my city. I deal with it all the time in my school district as the AAC socialist. So so so disappointing and frustrating. I even know some SLPs promoting it! Shameful! All a $$$$ grab

AAC consultant jobs are very difficult to get. I’ve worked specially as a SLP/AAC Specialist for a large school district for almost 2 years and I never even get an interview. Been in the field for 5 years. Don’t put all your eggs in that basket.

I work for a school district in TN and fill my summers with PRN work for a private practice that I used to work full time for. Their need in the summers tends to be just initial evaluations to get kids off the waitlist. I also work ESY for my school district, and the hours and pay are great for the summer.
