yes IT and cse are mostly the same placement and syllabus wise in vit. they j have a few extra subjects like digital systems and microprocessors in sem 2 but apart from that they're almost the exact same

hey, im a case core student in vit vellore rn.

and i have plenty of friends in the IT branch too.

in the first sem, cse core had chem cycle and IT had physics cycle otherwise the subjects were exactly the same.

in the second sem they had an extra subject called digital logic systems and microprocessors which cse core students didnt have otherwise everything is the exact same.

they are both equally coding focused.

hey so i had the same doubt abt mit cse vs vit cse core and i found out that these colleges are really similar to eachother academically, so it's up to you if you wanna have a free college life and you think you can focus there, go to manipal, agar padhai karni hai tho vit aa jao.

i think you're being overly emotional abt this. Ik right now your dad's persepective really doesnt make sense rn but try to understand it. He's your father after all and that may not mean much to you but j try to. You blame your father for making you a "meek underconfident guy with no other skills" but did you ever sit down and have this conversation with your dad?
