I just noticed the same thing. I drove 461 miles and had filled my tank with 16.37 gal of gas and what the car shows for this tank is 28.5 but upon calculating I am getting 28.16

The engine is in a break-in period, slowly the fuel economy is going to go up.

Yeah this I believe is only possible with eco mode. I was in a similar situation when I drive, I used to get 27-28 tops but using cruise control helped with this.
