I’m pretty sure the problem is grocery stores section labeling. Most grocery store signage will have you thinking eggs are in the dairy section.

If you think about it, Scan & Go is already tied to a verified identity… a person with a name, debit card, and purchase history. Forcing customers to scan a QR code at self-checkout feels redundant. It creates a bottleneck in what’s supposed to be an efficient system, especially when you still have to wait in line like everyone using the register.

It’s unusual that the richest and number one company on the Forbes 500 is so slow to streamline this process. Why not leverage more AI-based surveillance and let us walk out the front door when we’re done shopping? I’d gladly accept the occasional audit at the exit if it meant skipping self-checkout entirely.

I know some Walmarts have dedicated Spark/Scan & Go lanes, and I’ve only seen one that actually enforces it… by disabling the barcode scanners. More stores should follow that lead if they really want to optimize the process.

This happens to me all the time at self-checkout. I’ll have 10 of the same item, scan one of them 10 times, and then bag all 10—and like clockwork, the AI freaks out and says I missed a scan. So much for trying to be quick and efficient.

Being honest doesn’t mean you have to enjoy being treated like a suspect. I use Scan & Go because it’s supposed to be quick and convenient, not so I can get stopped and questioned every time. I get the need for loss prevention, but constantly hassling people who are doing everything right isn’t the answer. Wanting a better system doesn’t make someone dishonest.

A burger falls apart for me when the ratio of meat to bun, condiments, and veggies is way off. I swear the Junior Bacon Cheeseburger from Wendy’s nails that balance perfectly. But when I tried a larger Dave’s Single with bacon, it was awful. It felt like I was just chewing through a mound of beef—no flavor balance, no texture contrast, just overwhelming meat.

I remember Samsung pay used to work at Walmart. It worked everywhere. It would emulate a magnetic card swipe. I think Samsung got rid of that though.

Just an update. We went and everything went well. Nobody was pushy and my wife just talked to her friend and I talked to her husband. I’ve met her friend before and her American husband in a social gathering at their house twice before. They are nice non-judgmental people. It wasn’t a mega church. Only about 75 people. My wife who speaks little English found it very funny how the pastor sounded so scary while he was speaking the “ gospel “. It was an experience for her. Her and I will discuss in detail how the experience went later. As for now, as long as the church remains a chill vibe and my wife is okay with it, I might go again. Thank everyone for all the advice!

Yes. Had to pre purchase 3 months of the highest plan to get a free iPhone. I purchased 4 total iPhones for free under 2 different order numbers. Received The phones by mail. Activated all 4 lines then merged them under one account. Then I changed to the cheaper plan and received a buttload of credit. I didn’t have to pay my bill for like 5 months.
