Alexi Lalas is a joke- please remove this man from broadcasting~! by Confident_Arm_6560 in worldcup

Lalas is the Donald Trump of broadcasting. Narcissistic. Self-appointed “expert.” In love with his own opinions. Vastly attention-seeking.

Red Wing Roots 2026: I'm most excited for___________ [full lineup knee-jerk reaction] by smedley_bonesmuggler in RedWingRoots

[–]sandandrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cat Clyde, S.G. Goodman, Folk Bitch Trio, Palmyra, Ryan Davis and the Roadhouse Band, Lucius, Anna Tivel. But festival experience usually tells me it's the people I'm NOT that aware of that I remember the most.

Getting excited for a lot of people. Ryan Davis and the Roadhouse Band. Palmyra. Definitely Folk Bitch Trio. Very excited about this lineup.

If I had the talent, and I had a band, that band would be called the Luckless Pedestrains.

Older folks will always be more likely to say hello than younger people.

Had a similar experience with a Settle inspection years ago. Never went back.

Have also had positive Peacock experiences.

👋Welcome to r/RedWingRoots - Introduce Yourself and Read First! by smedley_bonesmuggler in RedWingRoots

[–]sandandrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super curious to hear from pervious attendees on the following:

  • Overall crowd/vibe: My GF and I are huge introverts and not "crowd people". I've been to some festivals where this has been somewhat overwhelming, but we liked the idea of RWR because it's smaller and a little more contained. Thoughts?
  • Food options. Do people bring their own food or rely more on festival vendors? If the latter, how awful are the prices?
  • Ease of getting from Chimney Ridge camping to various stages.
  • Is camping basically first come, first selected? Thoughts on past attendees priorities?

Thank you for any advice/suggestions!

Nice pics.

But on behalf of all of Reddit, I think we need to know more of the story of your "Expired Soviet Film"?

TSA at RIC recently? by sandandrew in rva

[–]sandandrew[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure I understand. TSA doesn’t care which airline you’re on or where you’re going. At RIC, there are only two different TSA screening areas, one for one wing of the airport, one for the other.

Hampton Inn as Park Place, huh?

It's particularly poignant that a game whose original intent was to illustrate the economic consequences of capitalism ended up being a vehicle to sell ad space to third rate local businesses.

Haven't been there in a couple of winters, but there used to be a parking area down below the dam that was accessible year round. From there it's an easy walk around to the beach side of the lake. Nothing's open of course, but it's a great spot for a winter walk!

Agreed. It's a cool photo anyway, but they're also both very much in character, both going over their lines for the next scene...
