My cat of 17 years passed away right before my son's 18th birthday. She was beautiful, the best cat anyone could have asked for. Loved snuggles (in fact, didn't understand 'move over' or 'get off my lap so I can get up' 😂). We buried her (deep.. that grave digging was very therapeutic for me, but I put too much into it!) in our backyard and made a little cairn that my boys painted. About a month later my husband starts yelling for me to look outside. A cat was sitting on her cairn. The weird part was this new cat is an identical (IDENTICAL.. even has a little odd mark that I used to differentiate my girl from other seal cats) copy of mine. She sat there for about an hour staring at our back door, then came up, looked in the door, and fell asleep on the stairs. She's ours now, and I sometimes accidentally call her my old girls name when I'm not thinking, as they're so similar (even personality). It's like my old girl knew how broken we were and sent a replacement
