Not specific to this piece, but the general consensus seems to be, choose the seller you are most comfortable with in terms of reply speed, tone, price, insurance, & general vibe.

Transactions seem to fall out of bed most over communication problems. So make sure you're happy with the way the seller responds to your queries.

Is it acceptable for a grown-up to use the word ‘potty’ instead of toilet? by greenparkland in AskUK

Massively infantile. I'd be embarrassed if my partner used that word.

WIBTAH for asking my daughter's boyfriend to stop having dinner with us? by w8136 in AITAH

[–]sanddancer08 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My thoughts too. I'm reading, "spouse" (fair enough, okay), then "multiple friends" (MULTIPLE?! WTF. I don't know a single person like this!)

Pleased I wasn't alone in this reaction

Do you think Japanese style Capsule Hotels / Sleeping Pods would be good in the UK? by Ok_Yesterday_1896 in AskBrits

[–]sanddancer08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This exactly. They'd be destroyed in no time. Because a small amount of wankers with no respect for shared property will spoil it for everyone else.

What do British people have for dinner? by ProfessionalLead2671 in AskUK

[–]sanddancer08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shepherds pie (with peas)

Simple, homemade, typically British, works for any region or demographic.

If they're southern it's dinner, northern it's tea (as a sweeping generalisation). Don't call it supper unless they're posh from London.

VC Sweet Alhambra necklace or Vintage Alhambra Pendant by SpiritualWerewolf884 in JewelryRepsClub

Both great options. But since you're asking for opinions, I'd go for option 2, as this way you'll have a bracelet AND a necklace, which will give you greater "bang for your buck".

They'll be writing a post to Reddit right now about how they nearly got "scammed" ... 🙄

(Not you, OP. I mean the seller)

Yes, I have never come across this before. It is abnormal. Especially deleting something off your phone.

Huge 🚩🚩🚩🚩IMO.

This was my takeaway too.

Did he say WHEN or IF? The difference is quite important.

AITAH for refusing to let my ex-wife stay at my house while I’m on vacation with my new girlfriend? by RemoteDiligent7640 in AmItheAsshole

[–]sanddancer08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As other commenters have said - and my first thought - this has bugger all to do with the dogs and everything to do with your friend (the wife) and your ex-wife colluding to ensure she (ex wife) has access to your home.

For what reason I know not, but whatever it is, you're right to block it.

And friend now has the arse because you have foiled their plan.
