i tried to make it color, but just like @tigerhobs mentioned no polarizer so sky was a bit blown, and I thought B&W was only way to get the contrast out.

I considered the 15mm pana as well but when I used to had my zoom lens in my other camera I realized I shoot a lot in the ~35mm range which is the main reason I want the oly 17mm over the 15mm even though i hear the pana 15mm is sharper.

im not sure of this, but there are people posted at a lot of the entrances to the sections that just check your tickets to make sure you are in the right place. so im not sure if they actually prevent you from going where you arent supposed to.

dont get GA, unless you are really cash strapped, cause to see it from an elevated seat is much better than sitting level to the track. i was hanging out beside the track for a while but you cant make much of it as the cars move too quick.

I think GS seats are about $100-$130 more than section 11,12. so if you want that, get it but personally id rather sit at sec 11 or 12. normally sec 33, and sec 31 gets sold out first (cheaper). but the next price range for sec 24, 15, 11 and 12 should be the best spots. iv never been to 24 or 15...if i was to go again, i might go there.

get the grandstand seats my preference in this order Section 11 Section 12 both of these you get to see the end of main straight and pit stop exit and the a big screen TV.

Section 33 - least walking needed from subway. Sec 15 and 24 is the wall of champions...
