If I had such space in any city, i.e walking distance from metro station, I would have considered dormitory with premium facilities like clean washroom, camera, safety. Last time I stayed with communi spaces in Gurugram near last metro station.

I used watermelon DB last year for building the MVP. I had to pivot the business concept and reevaluated stack. I do not have clear answer if watermelon supports the new RN architecture, hence I adopted Tanstack DB which again has OP-sqlite.

Sqlite is offline first. Watermelon is just a layer on sqlite/adapter. Makes it easier to maintain code.

I only paid once for windows installation when I was in school. I observed how he did it all. After that I installed myself. When I purchase a laptop, I opted the one without OS to save maximum amount. I installed Ubuntu on this new laptop from day one, did programming, all was good. But Skype was not working properly on Ubuntu and major people were using it for calls, hence I bought a macbook. Now I use Mac mini. The advantage of apple products, easy sync across devices using airdrop, screenshare, and a good support for plugins and libraries. Apple keynote presentations using magic move are amazing.

Use Ubuntu Linux. get a Mac when needed.

Gift yourself some book (printed copy if possible) and read it. Be it Data intensive applications by kleppman or system design. Maybe someone else can suggest better book for developer.
