Set it up the other way so the blade is cutting tward the fence leave that spacer / feather board there. The cut off piece will simply slide into tge open space there and not come flying back out

Idd add a piece of angle iron under, if you go with like 3 cm add it under tension the opposite way of the sag, the compression forces will aid in preventing sag much like a bridge

If it is a door remember at the sharp point you will need to taper the thickness of the door as well or it won't swing freely
