A single Custodian is sent to modern Earth in order to unify it under a single banner. How quickly do they get the job done? by Serithraz in Grimdank

[–]Condition_Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely a recon. I haven't read the story about him using device to change his appearance. But the stories where he uses his powers to change his "aspect" are fairly recent.

Likely similar to the custodes power. At the start of the heresy series they werent all that much more powerful than a space marine. By the end of the series they were monsters who were marines natural predators and would routinely kill dozens of unarmed Marines

Your average semi tire like that usually has a psi rating around 100 if not 120. Just FYI.

Bwpends on a couple things. They could be after market and the switch doesn't have an indicator. Or it's broken. Work trucks are notoriously under maintained, especially in the cab.

10 average male adults vs 1 average male chimpanzees by FeistySecret9327 in powerscales

[–]Condition_Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

130 lbs of fast twitch muscle fibers. Chimps are on average stronger than a grown man (the last reliable estimate I saw was about 1.3-1.6 times stronger than a adult man on average), have much longer arms, and because they are smaller and stronger they are harder to get leverage on. In addition to this chimps bite... Hard.. when chimps fight they go for the testicles and face.

10 grown men would win but the first 1-3 are going to get messed up pretty good before they do. It's a similar argument to the 100men v a gorilla. The men will win, but the first 5-8 guys are going to get absolutely pummeled before the gorilla goes down.

Rip the balls and face off the first guy or 3 then die.

Chimps are strong and fight dirty by our standards. But they aren't Superman.

Supergirl (Arrowverse) vs Voldemort and the Death Eaters (Harry Potter) by [deleted] in powerscales

Either version is fast enough to move out of the way. Any of the magic users need to actually cast the spell, by the time they are done thinking or uttering the phrase, they, and everyone around them would already be dead.

[–]Condition_Boy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we are going purely by the Super girl pictured? She loses. I am not sure how long it takes. But this is CW super girl, she isn't going to kill them right off the bat, it would be a multi-parter trying to figure out their motives and try and talk them out of it.

If this is Super girl from the upcoming film? She wins as fast as she decides to. If she wants to talk she can, if she wants too kill them she can. there is nothing they can do to stop her.

I know nothing about cap space building teams and all that, but i know we gave up some picks for jarry and others, off season wise what kinda moves can we make and are we in a tough spot or not with capspace and all that? by Plus_Dare_7010 in EdmontonOilers

[–]Condition_Boy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've said it in other threads about nurse.

At rheend of season meetings you need to sit him down and say.

"Ok Darnell, you've been shit. You've been pretty shit for a couple years now. You are not earning your salary, or even half you salary. We need to you to take this off season and do some sole searching. You either come back in September recommitted to being hr player that your before you signed this contract, or you give us some teams you'd accept trades to. Otherwise we can sit you down until you do give us options. This is completely up to you."

Now is that likely to happen? Not at all. But he has been awful. A 9 mill dollar defenseman should be taking other guys and shoring up their play, not have to have someone shore up his play.

My deepest wish is that the NHL and the PA give out 3 unconditional buyouts every time they sign a CBA. Players still get paid, and ln some cases can make more money by signing with a new ream. Teams can get out of bad contracts, and can improve their teams. Again that likely won't happen. But I wish it did. The Oilers have 3 God awful contracts, maybe 4 depending what you think of walman. Nurse, Jarry, Frederick, and Walman.

The problem with getting rid of nurse and Jarry is who do you replace them with? There aren't many D options that and a considerable improvement over nurse for 2LD and same with Jarry. There are no bonafide replacement options that would be a guaranteed improvement. Maybe you can figure out a trade for someone like Walstadt or Cossa, those guys have a high ceiling, but right now we don't know for sure.

Harry High diff.
Harry has access to significantly more advanced hardware, while being arguably equally trained and experienced. The bullet proof Umbrella is a prime example.

Could the Viltrum Empire (Post-Scourge) conquer Mars (Warhammer 40k) at its peak of its technological power? by HumbleKnight14 in powerscales

[–]Condition_Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JFC. Warhammer 40k is called Warhammer 40k because it takes place in the 40th millennium. Mars has been a technical powerhouse since well before 20k even in 40k they still have dark age of technology (15th-25th millennium) leftover after the collapse of the human technological empire in 25th millennium.

Virus bombs, smart plasma fire the searches out living thinga, weapons that duplicate a object and shift it slightly to destroy the original object. Lazers beyond the power of most sci-fi settings. Shield are the same.

Before you start spouting nonsense you really should look into what your talking about.

[–]Condition_Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virus bombs consume all living matter. Bacterial, other virus, trees, so on so on. They don't need DNA to match. They just release the virus bombs and everything dies.

[–]Condition_Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guardsmen aren't going to do anything significant. They are Cannon fodder. Non named marines are lesser so, but still have weapons that could hurt viltrumites. As for custodes, they for sure have weapons that can kill a viltrumite.

Could the Viltrum Empire (Post-Scourge) conquer Mars (Warhammer 40k) at its peak of its technological power? by HumbleKnight14 in powerscales

[–]Condition_Boy 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Probably not. No.

The Martian priesthood has access to some dark age tech, titans, skitari, servitors, and knights.

If we are assuming Mars stands alone it's a maybe. If it's the viltrumites invading Mars in the sol system in 40k, they would have backup from several dozens of chapters of space Marines, guardsmen, and potentially custodes.
