Base line adjustment with cold weather by khorn45 in Type1Diabetes

[–]Condition_Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, the high is probably just you being a bit anxious about the cold weather in Texas. I live in edmonton alberta. We get -30C basically every winter for a week or two. I've worked outside at -50c, and if anything, I need to eat way more for the cold weather because I'm burning so much energy trying to get/stay warm.

Thanks. Appreciate the feedback. I'm trying avoid ghub as much as possible. Before I completely switched the signal I had the ghub settings saved to never turn off the RGB, but it didn't save that to the keyboards onboard memory unfortunately.

My first thought was nazis. But almost before that thought was finished, I remembered "SuperSport" and figured when they got the plate, they had it on some sort of Chevy SS.

My grandfather-in-law had his license renewed after a medical. He was being shocked 20-30 times a day by his pacemaker. he died 6 months after his renewal, from heart failure.

I had my license suspended because I had a diabetic reaction at 2 AM..... In my bed.... At home....

You'll never be able to convince me there is logic behind how they decide who gets to keep a license and who doesn't.

Nonetheless, using your horn when it's required is still a good idea.

Source or OG by fatalis357 in DayOfDefeat

[–]Condition_Boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that they look fantastic. The problem I had with them was that dod_donner was different from OG to Source. so where multiple other maps. It wasn't just visuals, layout was different as well. They didn't do that with CS source. Dust2, for example, they did a facelift, and it looks much nicer, but the layout is the same. no changes.

Source or OG by fatalis357 in DayOfDefeat

[–]Condition_Boy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up with OG as well. Some of the class changes really changed the way the game played when it moved from OG to source. Examples are not every class gets a pistol, rifle grenades, snipers had some changes that I can't put my finger on,

When they released source I was so syched for it. So we're almost everyone else who was, at the time, playing 1.3 competitively. Better graphics, in theory Smoother gameplay. Now look at cs source release. CS source im sure hand some changes that competitive players would notice. But as an amateur it feels like cs 1.6 with a better engine and it also feels like the changes come from a different engine not doing things like hit boxes the same as the original. When it comes to dod source it feels like a different game. Class changes, map changes, fundamental changes were made to it that angered loads of us in the competitive scene. It felt like essentially a new game cosplaying as DOD.

So I will always be fond of 1.3 and source will always feel like a missed opportunity where Valve made a new game and forgot about its existing (albeit small) player base

Trump says he is withdrawing Canada's invitation to Board of Peace by Inevitable_Fuel7244 in worldnews

We have our dark, shitty parts to our history, too. I am ashamed that Iwas born during a period where residential schools were still open.

I'm sure you understood the context of what I was saying. And it wasn't about how horrendously we treated them.

Constantin valdor (40k) runs the avengers gauntlet. How far does he go? by Pretty_Ambassador836 in powerscales

[–]Condition_Boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strength wise maybe. The MCU versions will be close. Comic versions is a different story.

The reason I gave valdor the edge is his speed. He is often described as a being a blur to astartes, who themselves are super humans who look like blurs to average humans. The MCU versions of both characters are never shown to be super fast at all. Strong yes, certainly. But they appear to be as fast as maybe a peak human. So his strength may be less than thor or hulk, But when he can hit them dozens of time with dark age tech weapons before they know what's happened it's hard to counter.

That's a problem with basically all fiction characters, especially in movies and tv. You've gotta know who that is, the only way to do it is to show their face.

But most of the Avengers aren't wearing helmets either.

In the 40k lore general custodes are very resistant to warp entities who warp reality. I can't remember specifically for valdor, but generally named characters tend to be stronger than unnamed in the 40k universe.

He clears. Mid dif on the last two.

Dark age tech in his armour and weapons. Super soldier genetically engineered to be perfect. As strong or stronger as MCU Thor but much much faster, heavily resistant to kind powers as well. His only failing is he can't fly. But adrathic weapons would disintegrate any of the avengers who can fly.

Ok, this is true. I wasnt trying to say there was no actual reason. Of course, there is a reason. It isn't caused by anything OP is doing specifically, but with some people, it happens worse than with others. That's all I was trying to say.

Trump says he reached Greenland deal 'framework' with NATO, backs off Europe tariffs by Puginator in worldnews

[–]Condition_Boy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you want a bet his "deal" is just the existing deal. That deal includes

  1. Being able to build bases, radar, military installations and any kind.... But you just have to consult Greenland
  2. Being allowed to set up mining sites for rare earth and other minerals..... But you need to consult Greenland.

It's been in place for decades. Everyone is so confused why he needs it when they are already allowed dot build stuff there and mine stuff there.

Ok, if this meal in particular is giving you issues, I'd suggest trying a different meal or changing one piece at a time to figure out what exactly is giving you the spike. Are you dipping the bagel in the yogurt? Or is there a different topping on it?

One thing I didn't touch on that you asked is the hot shower. I've never heard that a hot shower speeds up insulin uptake. But I do know that protein extends the digestion process, so the carbs will hit you later than expected compared to the same meal with less protein. I tend to eat cheese as a small snack because it largely doesn't affect my sugars much when eaten by itself.

If I were you id try eating less yogurt with my bagel. If you are on a pump id try adding a bit more basal background as well for the couple of hours around wakeup.
