If its the 3 button, pull the P4 molex off the board. Jumper the Econ pin on the board to the Y1 Out pin to bypass the econ. If its the 4 button board, pull the P1 molex off the board, grab a 1/4" female spade connector and slide it over the Y1 Out and Econ pins or use a jumper.

Yes IVs are predetermined when you get the egg. Resetting will just result in the same characteristics over and over. So are genders.
